In San Diego, at least, both EB Games and gamestop were doing midnight release. It you ordered yours overnight shipping online, you can go down to the local Fedex warehouse and pick it up there the night before (pending they allow it. i dont see why not your actually saving them money by already paying for shipping and them not having to deliver in the local truck). if you track an overnight shipment they always arrive at their local region the night before then going out to make the local deliveries the following day. My overnight shipments always arrive in San diego about 11:00-1;00am, then usually sit in the warehouse unitl deliveries go out at 6:30am, then the driver doesnt get to my house until 3:00pm. Best Buy does the same thing with big DVD releases. i went to get Lord of the Rings at Midnight and they had all the next days shipments in the store already, they made me come back later the next day to get my Simpsons DVD due to relesae date technicalities. Technically currier employees are going to be the first of the public to get their hands on Halo 2
