Subject: Halo 2 PC installing on Windows 7. BSOD as soon as CD inserted?!

Hi guys,
Just bought Halo 2 PC. It was only $5 in the bargain bin. Anyway, I went to install it. As soon as I put it in the DVD tray, my comp crashes to a BSOD which says:

A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage
to your computer.

The problem seems to be caused by the following file: fltmgr.sys

KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen,
restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow
these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed.
If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer
for any Windows updates you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware
or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.
If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart
your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then
select Safe Mode.

Technical Information:

*** STOP: 0x1000008e (0xc0000005, 0x890ed3c5, 0x902655c8, 0x00000000)

*** fltmgr.sys - Address 0x890ed3c5 base at 0x890cb000 DateStamp 0x4a5bbf

I can't find anything on the Internet about how to fix this!!! any ideas???

Hmmm that's interesting since fltmgr.sys is a required file for windows to run. Some things that could be causing this:
1. Disk is damaged or burned improperly
2. Disk drive is dirty or lens might be damaged/scratched (doubt this).
3. fltmgr.sys is damaged to a certain extent.

I'm betting on the disk being improperly burned, try to install or just open the autorun.exe on another pc to check this.

That's what I first thought but:

-Disk works in other PC's.
-Other DVDs work in my PC
-Able to read DVD when I run the comp in safe mode, I tried installing it in safe mode, but it didn't let me becuase of no graphics acceleration during safe mode.
-I even created an image of the disk while in safe mode, rebooted in normal mode, as soon as I mounted the image, bang. I got the BSOD.

My Youtube - Halo 2 Online Co-op
BUNGIE AND MICROSOFT FAILS HALO 2 VISTA.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Do this, on the working PC, copy the whole CD onto it.
If networked, send the folder copy of the H2V Disc.

Run it.

I bet something maybe wrong with the drivers on your bork PC.
