OK, I plotted all of the numbers on the "fun stuff" page of i love bees.

I saw somebody plotted the numbers, but it didn't look like this.
If you ask me, it looks like America. In fact, it kind of looks like plottings of America's most populous cities!

Check it out: http://img4.imgspot.com/u/04/223/18/map.JPG

Boo yah! We're getting invaded!

That is the information from the links page which has been discussed a lot now on other forums. It looks like the United States when plotted because these numbers are Lattitude and Longitude coordinates for various locations in the U.S.

If you go to this location you can see the work that myself and others have done on this so far, along with a lot of other stuff about this ARG.

I believe they are demo kiosk locations. To try the game out. There is noway in hell that bungie would piss the rest of us off by only releasing it on the 24th in just those places. As i said before they are demo units maybe even online enabled to test the game out. And may just be a limited time.

I don't see how some of you claim these dots represent cities, or major cities for that matter. While some may come CLOSE, but since I am from the south east, I know for a FACT that there are not that many major, or even large cities concentrated like that around the Georgia-Florida border. Good try, it does resemble U.S. but the theory is a little off.

Those coordinates are latitude and longitude, enter it for yourself at mapquest. There is no way that those points would just happen to be clustered next to large cities and near Bungie HQ. Not one of those points touches water either, a lot of them are near the water.

The numbers on the links page of ilovebees.com are the decimal form of latitude and longitude, and if you did graph them on a piece of paper it would look vaguely like the US.

Ya, I actually recognize some parts of it. I only graphed the first quarter or so on a map and it was incredibly dense in Maryland

hey pat, question for you...

Imagine I'm an idiot. Can you explain to me the "decimal forms of longitude and latitude"
I've never seen decimal forms... only in hours and minutes (like 11' and 9")

I'm not exactly sure, I didn't know it was latitude and longitude until someone brought it up in New Mombasa. I do know that it's not what people usually expect longitude and latitude to look like, and that was probably intentional to confuse people.

Well, can anybody out there explain these decimals convert into latitude and longitude?

Aparently, this is the formula for finding it:

Degrees Minutes Seconds to Degrees Minutes.m
Degrees = Degrees
Minutes.m = Minutes + (Seconds / 60)

Degrees Minutes.m to Decimal Degrees
.d = M.m / 60
Decimal Degrees = Degrees + .d
