Do you think it would be cool of bungie if they had something like a options page in your profile that you could set weapons settings like: whether to extend the stock of the SMG and if you did it was more accurate by itself but dual wielding made it harder, and a fire setting for the battle rifle, whether to have it shoot 1 or three shots unzoomed, etc.

Or depending on how the carbine fires a fire setting for that, come on people say something

I think you should be able to do that in game by pressing a certain button.

Nah, weapons should be all the same and not stuff like that. it would not balance right. Just take advantage of what is there, like two different fires of the Battle Rifle.

How would it not blance right, it would be perfect, because certain people might prefer accuracy above power and ROF, and for other reason it isnt like they are changeing the weapons power and pressing a button, well right now i dont even know how they fit everything in in the first place, making it a button might take out something else that is more important.

Everyone should be on the same lv and work with what they have. I am sure each weapon will be balanced perfectly to where any change would screw that balance up. Bungie did a realy good job on Halo and with that knowledge Halo 2 will be even better balanced. most (good) people would want more power and just get used to the lack of accuracy and the more accuracy people would be screwed in the end.

Well they could do like what they do COD where if you press of button you change the ROF from say full-auto to semi-auto.

if that was possible, the smg would have low accuracy because of more bullets and a faster fire rate. any one who has shot a gun know it is hard to aim with an uzi let alone an smg.

on november 9th, world war 3 begins.

hey guys, do you think the game would be interesting if the more you kill people with the same gun, the gun will upgrade to a more powerful gun. for ex, if you kill a lot of people with a shotgun, the weapon will upgrade to a shotgun with a larger blast range.

I agree with agamemnon, that would be a nice feature but I am almost certain they will not do something like this. It would be balanced and add another layer of strategy, changing weapon configurations before a game. However, that would take away that pick up and play feeling of halo and bungie wants their game to be pretty streamline i think.

If they wanted to put in a feature where you could have total control over your weapon's effectiveness, I'm sure they would put it in. However, this is Halo 2, and they have their weapons balanced already. If they want the SMG to have an exceptionally fast ROF, they'll make it so. However, if you trade ROF for Damage Per Shot, you can have a Shotgun able to be used from 30+ meters. You never mentioned anything about Damage Degration.

No it wouldnt u could just pick up and play but if u wanted you could customize and that is good, they do that with the armor remember, but what i was asying about the smg was that if u extended the stock it was more accurate, this is true with alot of real life guns. And it would make the game even more cool, and in MP it wouldnt change the balance either way, it isnt adding more firepower or subtracting firepower, or anything else. I think bungie is smart enough to do something like this; they realised its potential for the Armor and that was even less prominant than this.

That isnt what it is though it is exactly like the pistols ROF if you held the trigger down, it doesnt have anything to do with balance, it isnt connected to it in the slightest.
