I am using a program called Xpadder to re-map the button input from my xbox controller as keyboard and mouse input. I did this because I am used to playing with Bumper Jumper on Halo 3, ODST and Reach.
Xpadder works, but Halo 2 also sees that I have a game controller plugged into my computer, so I actually get double the input because it sees my button presses as an Xbox controller pressing them and the keyboard making them. This only affects the buttons I was trying to change, hitting A to switch nades still makes my character jump. frustrating.
I looked in the settings and could not find a way to force Halo 2 to use the keyboard/mouse config only. It seems that the controller detection is automatic.
Can anyone help?
