This is a guide designed to let you know how to protect your chapter from conquerors. It's not that difficult. Your chapter should be fine if you follow these simple rules:
* NEVER give anyone else full-control.
* NEVER give anyone the power to alter group settings.
* NEVER give anyone the power to promote/demote.
* NEVER give anyone the power to alter security-roles.
* Keep an alternate account that you never really use with full-control.(Bnet ninjas do not condone having an alternate account)
* It is wise not to allow people to edit blaclistings. However, giving someone the ability to give out 7 day blacklistings is fine.
* Don't feel obligated to give someone moderator powers just because they are a good member.
* You don't need 50 moderators. You don't need more than about 3 for most groups.
* Have many ranks. That way, you can promote members without having to give them more powers.
* When you boot someone, they can simply rejoin. Unless you have Closed Membership and remember who they are, the can get back in quite easily. There is a simple solution. Leave the ban Expiration Date blank. That way, they'll be banned forever. Even if they leave and rejoin, they'll still be banned. So, when doing this, they'll leave of their own accord once they realize hope is lost for them. And until they leave, they keep your member count up. So, it's good all around.
These few simple rules will ensure the safety of your chapter.
