Talking to someone that hasn't seen or done what I've done in H2 is like talking to a brick wall. lol.
You have to experience it to understand how cool H2 was.
The level at which you experienced it was not the same level I did, clearly by your putting down of H2 without cause.
Its easy to see fault from the surface but until you get down into it for a extended period of time you dont know how great something is. H2 was great, H3 wasn't for me and for many others (reach was beyond flawed and I refuse to waste time and money on it).
Fun is interactions and H2 was the most interactive between people (relistic and smooth movements, talking etc), you couldn't mute, and people were free to come and go as they please without major penalty (like sitting out for 10min). It was just a combination of factors that was the greatness called H2. lol.
I've been playing since Halo CE came out, trust me I spent plenty of time with Halo 2, aside from the introduction matchmaking for the series, Halo 2 was pretty much a step backwards in every regard compared to Halo 1. Just because I don't think that Halo 2 is the greatest game ever made doesn't mean I haven't played any of them besides H3 and Reach, it means I don't like Halo 2 based on all the games I've played of it, on and off of xbox live, by myself or with friends, split-screened or system linked.
I agree about the speed of Halo 2 being just right, not so much about the movements being 'relistic' but they were certainly smoother than Halo 3 and Reach's default movement speeds.
And the ability to not mute people screaming over mic with no goal other than to piss people off, or that people can quit out of games they don't want to play and leave that team playing man down makes the game better? lol
100% agreed been playing since halo CE, half of these reach kids have not even played halo 2
your post i agree with 100%
