I know there are no plans for a major overhaul until Bungie announces their next project, but it seems that a Halo Movie forum might be needed soon. I realize that news will still be slow to come out and eventually there will be an entire site devoted to it, but it is quickly going to be a major point of conversation.

Another question (okay, the first wasn't really a question, just a thought): What is the reason for Zanzibar and Optimatch? I understand the diffrence but it is a bit vague.

¶ There really isnt much.

i guess Optimatch was more for playlist suggetions, but that also fitsunder multiplayer, and those are all mostly stuck into Zanzibar anyway.

I agree that there isnt much difference at all. Maybe make OM the Halo Move forum? Just change the descriptions... ¶

I don't see the point to having Opti and Zanzibar.

Also. This would be an okay idea. It would be slower than most forums, but I could see it being done. Although, I doubt it will, because Achronos is real busy.

Actually, I think that a Halo Movie forum would end up like the Library after a while..All there would be after the movie came out is Halo Fan Made Movies and stuff....*Shudders*

I don't think a Halo movie forum would be a good idea. Personally, I think it would just end up like New Mombasa: full of the same annoying topics repeated over and over again, in anticipation of the movie.

Then later full of the same annoying flaming matches repeated over and over again between those who love it and those who will (sadly inevitably) hate it.

What if it was included as part of a Halo storyline forum?

Any discussion of the matchmaking playlists should go in Optimatch. This includes comments on the exisiting playlists, suggestions for improving the current playlists, and suggestions for future playlists. It's also been used by Bungie staff to take ideas for playlists that they are currently developing.

Zanzibar, however, is the home of all other Halo 2 multiplayer discussion.

Halo - Other seems more viable than Halo Movie, since you could throw Halo 3 in there as well. Without actually saying Halo 3 because it doesn't necessarily exist.

There really isn't that much to comment on for the movie. As of now, if you want to comment on the latest update of the movie, you would go to the News forum. If you wanted to speculate about the movie, you would go to the precious Underground. Another forum for something that will get no activity after a short time may be a waste of space, and performance.

If we did not have the Optimatch forum, I would be a very sad ninja.

Yeah, you don't want to deprive Ninja 0n Fire of his home do you?

I actually think a good idea for a forum re-shuffle would be to reinvent the Library as a general Halo forum. This would divert all the discussion of the movie, action figures, books, and possible future Halo games, as well as speculation about elements of the Halo universe that aren't confined to a single game ("zomg human=forerunner?!?!/1" anyone?), away from the Underground. The other forums would stay the same, and there'd be no need for a new forum.

It'd also mean that the "THIS IS NOT A HALO BOARD" post in the Underground would jibe a little better with the actual forum description. :)

I think you're right there Reig. However, i see no need to do this quite yet as nothing has been announced. I'd personally reccommend not even bothering to do it once it has been announced because all that will be there is stupid rumours and people then posting threads like "OMG I HEARD THAT BUNGLE ARE KILLIN MR CHEF!" (If halo 3 is the next game project or if not, similar).
