So how do you make a montage, do you stick a video camera infront of your screen then edit it later? how is it done, cause im thinking of making one

You could use a video camera but a capture card is better, also I believe this is in the incorrect forum.

Bascially, a capture card is something you hook up to your TV and it records what ever is on it.

i would stick to a video camera, but i dont have 1......so i guess a digital camera will have to do.

Ask the guys over at High Impact Halo about making montages. They are extremely knowledgeable about the subject and many of them could recommend a capture card if you're interested.

A video or digital video camera will not film well off a normal TV, because they both capture at about 50Hz, it's hard for them to synch, this causes black patches, usually taking about half the screen, to come up on the recording...
