Hey guys, i was just posting because mbt is in this dilemma where every time we go up to 1515 members, it automatically goes down to 1400 something, The leader of the group, Guardian Hunter, told us that once he was on and we had 1514 members, then something weird happend with his pc and he refreshed the page, there were 1485 members, i dont think that many members would leave in 2 seconds, this same pattern has been happening now for quite a while and its starting to really get on my nerves. I was just wondering if any yof u have the answer because im gettin to the bottom of this pit, i swear.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Its nothing. just members come and go in my opinion. But no one cares what i think.

No but really people say there is a bug that drops the members count. Thats just rumor and forum talk. So i dont know

I think the same happened to Chapter Founders. Going from around 1100 members to 1020 in a day or two is curious, to say the least.

It's not old members being deleted by the system?

Yes we have no problem gettibng members. They come in abd gets us back up to where we were. Then the 2 week mark hits and bam. Down to 14++.

Its more of an annoyance then it is a desperate problem.

I know old accounts get deleted, but that many at one time? And exactly every 2 weeks?

and then they are back which is really weird so i really dont think its users unless a hacker and the fact thats exactly every 2 weeks is really weird, its annoying and its starting to piss me off because with those new members the activity would go up and more interesting threads would be made and stuff like that.

I highly doubt its a bug. I mean, The Marty Army seems to be fine.(maybe its a conspiracy by Marty to prevent MBT from being bigger than his group!) lol

I won't deny the possibility of hacking. However, I find it severly inprobable.

About the site, any number of things could've gone wrong. Hosting problems. Hackers(I'm sure MBT's site is a lot easier to hack than bnet).

Hacking the Column is impossible, according to Achronos (I believe). I have no idea if this is anywhere in the ballpark of being right, but let me give it a shot. Mabye whatever checks the groups out to see how many members they have automatically comes and checks at 1515 for some reason. Then it sees a bunch of deleted accounts and automatically removes them from the group, bringing it back down. Then once you get back up it deletes the accounts again and so on and so forth.

I think I get what you mean Pimp. And if I do, that's possible.

The group takes into account deleted users every two weeks.

Same thing happened to Xbox 360, on a lesser extent. Once we lost about 15 members in a day, possible, but still odd. I don't have much faith in the member count.

Also, this is NO crisis.

¶ I think pimp is probably right. I was thinking the same thing.

You guys have been around a while, and there are a TON of inactive members in your group.

Now, this didnt start to happen til you got to 1515 or so. When you were at 1505 nothing bad was happening, well now your up so maybe the system does check it out. at some #, possibly 1510? And deletes all the older accounts from the group.

I guess we will need Achronos in here to see whats up.

Or maybe there is a bug, and it just randomly drops your # without you losing any memers, and your really not gaining any, but it shows the same ones again shortly after. ¶

There is no mystery to the MBT web site, it was not hacked or destroyed in a malicious way.

The weird thing about the member count is that it goes down every time we get to 1515 about every 2 weeks, then it goes right back up. The other day, we were at 1480 my computer blocks up, i refresh the page and we are at 1490 or 95 something like that, its really weird, and i think achronos should look into it and maybe have some bug fixing done to the site
