Final Fantasy 7, Pokemon, and the Mana series are the only RPGs I really enjoyed playing. Well, and KotR, of course, but i think that was due to the fact that im a huge Star Wars fan...

Anything turned base with parties of characters of only like 5 or 6 (like ff) bite. I only play turned base with way more units, chess or advanced wars (warhammeR)

RPG's that are Final Fantasy or like them in any way are retarded because you don't really control the characters in a fight, all you do is give them commands. To me, that is kinda boring.

Here's a link to the game that MAY challenge Halo 2 in the award of Game of the Year.

Well, it really is a long read, but worth it. Anyway, do you think this game can be better than Halo 2?

(just don't understimate Fable)

I hear you, and didn't think much of the game until what I saw today

But this belongs in The Flood; I'll move it though, as it's big enough not to just lock it, and have you repost

Crystal Chronicles is the best example you can give me? I would never even dream of playing final fantasy, or any rpg for that matter, let alone play it on a handheld system which i do not like either.

Some IGN Reviewer:
I say this with confidence, having spent a couple of hours playing through Fable

Wow, a couple of hours and it's the best game of all time? Name me one, one non-MMO RPG that you've played as much or more than Halo. I don't think anyone in all honesty can.

You can't really compare RPG and FPS games, KOTOR got just as good a rating as halo by OXM (or 0.1 less I think). I thought KOTOR was great, it was the first Xbox game I bought. But I can't compare it to Halo, and I can't compare Halo to KOTOR.

I was pretty excited about Fable but now that I read that article I just can't wait. But like Caesar14 said. You can't really compare Halo and Fable. They are two totally different style of games. I would have to say I'm still more excited about Halo. For one thing while Fable will be an amazing single player experience that is it. Halo will offer the thrill of MP.

Here's a thought everyone

Fable is the game that'll keep you busy until Halo 2; I see nothing wrong with that, and I hope it's a dope game

And I understand the fanboy feelings that a lot of you are getting, but Fable is a game - and possibly the only game - that deserves respect on near the same level as Bungie should; this game has been in development for quite a long time, and while I was never impressed with it before - If the framerate is fixed, than I'm a happy man - I am impressed now

Actually i AM ENJOYING(still playing just got it) KOTOR. and i noticed its gonna have A LOT of replay value. Thats because of the choices you can make. Same with Fable. In Halo you cant really choose to let the covies kill you marines and beat the game like that. You cant be a covie. In KOTOR you CAN. Whoever was badmouthing RPGs plz dont assume that all RPGs are bad. I admit most i played sucked. Pokemon was good at the time(i was 8). FF is just boring and redundant to me

i think Fable just might redefine RPG. for all it's glory(and i am a huge fan of the series) Final Fantasy was so closed. yes you had choices but you only punishment was missing out on some special item. there was never any plot altering choices. KOTR touched on it but basically you only had 2 paths. to have something so wide open is just going to rock the RPG genre.
