Jebus christ make it stop! We need more Ninja's there. First off, there are to many advertisments, user-directed threads and worthless threads that are often repeted, like whats you fav gun(which should be in NM tecnically)? and stuff.

Most of all, is flaming, I see to much, too much "OMFG im pwned you ass on lv suxxor i wo you as!" or "Elites suck, if you see any on your team, leavem, they are all noobs." Sterotyping is big here(I HATE stereotyping).

We need more mods there, or that forum will go to Hell(apparently it already did).

Please? could we have like a selct people who could go under special accounts and are all called "the Gaurdians" that way, banninng is easy and the mod isnt rely a mod, and is undercover.

Thoughts? Sorry for any bad grammer, its 1:00 AM here.

Wow, we just got six new moderators and there is already a requiet for more. Don't quote me on this, but I think that is where most of the moderators probably spend their time in because of it being the most active forum on B.net. The mods are probably doing all they can to help combat the problematic members. I'm not to sure on your group of guardian members either. I feel we already have enough moderators as it is.

i mean just select people that can go into secret accounts, ban, lock and delete, nothing else, I mean, we did get 6 new mods, i know that, but i dont see any thread lockings or bans in zanzibar.

Regardless, some action must be taken.

I can see what you're getting at, but I think there could be many problems. As I am reading it, you said these would be sercet accounts. That makes me think that they are seperate accounts that only certain members have access to. How do we know these accounts wouldn't be forgotten after awhile and then ultimately never used? Who would be able to use the accounts? Look at how well the moderators had to be trusted to get their positions, can they trust the members given the limited power and hope they don't go on a blacklisting rampage? I just see to many problems to be implemented.

I see what you mean. I'm not one to visit Zanzibar much but, I see it. Every once in a while, There is a forum over run by the useless talking of flood dwellers. We gamers at the maw have made it clear we won't tolerate it. Thanks to a very determined member named aM Inspire, The Maw revolution was born. He made it so the mods would listen and... Boy! did he get their attention! Over the summer months, There were quite a few mods hanging around that forum... You just need to get their attention. Don't let them rest. Good luck with you guys.

Bungie.net explodes. Try it at home, kids*!

More mods, who are more likely to be on at different times. Its all that can be done. But it still probably won't help that much. There'll always be those who insist on doing pointless and stupid things on the forums. Just try to ignore it.

And if by 'flood dwellers' you mean people who post in the Flood, you're wrong. I just looked in Zanzibar, and I've never seen most of those people in the Flood. Please think before you speak.

How do you think those mods got trusted? these, would be in a same way. I saw if the user goes to the forum, and sees, gasp! spam, there should be an special accout button to press, at the top for you and the selected ones only. If your on another page, your broguht to Zanzibar only. You look threw threads, CANT POST FOR SECURITY REASONS, and have powers: Lock, delete, and ban, no edits for safety.

Again the account is like a several armed one, the users use the same account name, The Gaurdians.

IT be good for Bungie too and there World domination thing.

Keep in mind that I am not shooting down your idea in any way. Now you just proposed an "alert mod" type of button. This has been discussed before, and we kinda agreed that there was a potentional for tons of abuse by those members. The only way around that abuse would be to give that button to a select few that could be trusted, which I would think most would be outside of the Zanzibar forum. So, we would have a select few who could report spam to a few guardians. I would still rather report Spam and everyone else abusing the forums to the e-mail adress bnetmods@gmail.com.

We know, just join a group and let the people in zanzibar -blam!- at each other... oh I just checked the flood, its HORRIBLE! Theres all this crap like...

"me and ultimate_arbiter r getting married!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111" - we don't care about your private life thankyou very much.

"lol omg my gf is so beautiful!!!!!!11" - ...... same as above, please don't make this public we don't want to hear it and usually it goes way off topic to the point that it gets locked.

"wat wuld u do if u saw ****** walking teh streets??????//./" - On b.net we don't accept massacres as casual speech dumbass.

Simply adding more moderators wouldn't help. Holding Zanzibar to far stricter rules and assigning some ninjas to focus more on Zanzibar(not to the exclusivity of the other forums). The reason it's not extremely effective to just add moderators is because it's volunteer work, there's no guarantee that the new moderators would even be active.

Well, I reported a spammer to the said E-mail yesterday. I just checked, and no action was taken against him.

So in my opinion, the most effective way to report people is to send a PM to a moderator. The only problem is knowing which moderators are online.

Zanzibar isn't a fun place to be in for most people but aslong as you don't drop tp they're level by randomly flaming people you should be ok.

You don't see many deleted threads because... we delete them. It's better than locking them, which just attracts attention to annoying distractions.

And it is better to PM a ninja, rather than email the email. Because, to be honest, I myself don't sit there refreshing the page over and over...

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Only read the threads that look to be of interest.

Not much u can do about topics being repeated. Alot of people dont know, cuz theres know search feature. Ignore repeated threads, keep away from flame wars, and only post in good threads and It will be fine.

Posting in bad threads is bad, even if your telling them that its bad, you are still bumping it to the top of the page.

I don't think Zanzibar is that bad, I mean right after Halo 2 came out you were forced to hide in groups, The Underground was completely overrun with Halo2 threads and the other forums were just flame/spammagnets. It was completely horrible, Zanzibar is nothing compared to then. I think the Mods are doing a great job and if they continue like this, it will stop soon i hope.

Not even some Ninjas have the mighty Banhammer with them. They do carry the Blacklisting Sword.

Whatever the case, I don't use that forrum, and I would just have to say this...there will probably be alot of blacklisting before it is over.
