is the new auto tracking feature on the rockets neccesary.I think it kinda takes away from the game, auto tracking is always gimmicky and it never works. In halo 2 people are gonna take extreme advantage of it kinda like the pistol in halo 1 its gonna have too much power and thats not good.

its only on vehicles and you have to get a lock so if u dont have a lock it will be a regular rocket launcher and it only happens when you do zoom in so dont zoom in

Dont worry, from what I've heard it only tracks vehicles, theres no chance of a rocket following you while youre on foot. Although I may be wrong.

Have you played with it?

Oh you haven't? Well then maybe you don't know every detail of how it works gameplaywise?

Bungie aren't morons, if it makes the game more fun (& balanced) they'll put it in. If they put it in and the testers said "Hey Bungie, this crap sucks ass!" then it won't be in.

...jeez.

*Edit - Rockets only track vehicles, and only when zoomed (If this was unclear to anyone...)

How do you know it only follows vehicles. Maybe once the testers get used to it they find out that it doesn't work and they change it. You can't call us all morons when you are just as likely to have it wrong.

PRIVATE MESSAGE HIM FROGMAN.

Bungie won't add something useless or crap to the game so I think right now we need to trust in Bungie's judgement.

Too powerful? Maybe you haven't seen, but in the E3 press demo, it took multiple rockets. The worst that could happen from the first shot is that it flips the vehicle, like Halo's original rocket launcher. I think it'd be a much better plan to use a gun to weaken the vehicle and then use the rocket launcher to destroy the vehicle.

yeah, someone who played the beta said it can take 5 rockets to fully destroy a warthog, and if you are inside the vehicle you won't die instantly if a rocket hits your vehicle

Maybe when it's tracking it has some sort of proximity dentonater trigger so it blows up before it hits the vehical.
