32? that is alot of people! two teams of 16 instead of 16 people total. Let me check the math, ..........yeah thats twice as many! lol joking.
But yeah, 32 people would be awesome maybe, or maybe not. Ive played 16 player halo in a lan party and it was chaos, just utter chaos, you kept dying and couldnt do anything, even alot of skill couldnt save you from the swarming masses armed with pistols.
fun stuff.

That article is discussing E3 2003! I honestly don't think 32 people will happen, it will probably be the standard 16. If my memory serves me correctly 16 is confirmed with the POSSIBILITY of them trying to add more, but I would not count on it. No I do not have a link, just going off of memory :)

there have been comments of how easy it is for them at the moment to do 16 players with no noticeable lag, certainly the beta testers have been playing 16 player games without problems, it would seem Bungie have cracked 16 players at least so we should never really have to worry about limiting players.

But if they've got 16 working with no lag, its concievable that more players could be brought in, 20 would be a safe number, loadsa people, likely no lag...

^^I agree^^. It would be nice if they did try to up the number of players, even if they only go to 24. The only problem is very few of us will be able to host a game that large without lag, and IF they did put up dedicated servers they would most likely be filled with people I would rather not play with. We will see in a few months, maybe sooner.

That would be cool, but that's still subject to change. The article said Bungie "hopes" to have 32, they may not get there.
