We've all heard about those people who mod the Xbox and Halo. Obviously, they would also be able to do that for Halo 2. Now think: you need one more shot to kill your enemy, but all of a sudden, he/she disappears. You look around, and all of a sudden you die; he hit you in the back. Or, your sniping, and you've got 7 consectutive headshots, but the guy is still standing there! Or, all of a sudden, out of nowhere, a guy dual-wielding Rocket Launchers jumps out at you. Anyway, I think you get my drift. What will Bungie do about that?

First of all, that's not what mods even do. Mods allow you to do multiple things, the most common thing being: turn your Xbox into a nice little PC. Discussion of modifications to the Xbox aren't allowed here, though, so I won't go into detail.

Second of all, you cannot play a modded Xbox on Xbox Live. The most advanced thing a modchip has is that it allows you to disable the chip, thus allowing you to go on to Xbox Live. If you were to go on Xbox Live and try to turn the modchip, Microsoft would ban your account and credit card faster than you can say William Gates. Or even Bill Gates, for that matter.

A Modchip isn't a Game Genie/Pro Action Replay/Gameshark.

Anyone caught cheating or using a modded Xbox is usually banned from Live, or so I hear.

But that isn't the story with the PC version. Not that I care, I'll be playing X-live!

All those kinds of things mentioned are action replay stuff... molotov cocktails and supressed G3A3s suck...
