3 advantages of not dual weilding

1) you can throw grenades they can't.
2) the dual weilding weapons are limimited to range exept maby the new pistol if there acually is one
3) you can still melee they can't

You gotta drop one of your weapons, then throw a grenade!

i heard you can holster your weapon but a safer alternive would be to just switch to your secondary weapon then throw a grenade

It all depends on whether you drop a weapon or not!
Theres been a lot of arguement as to whether you can holster your dual wielded weapons and take out your secondary gun, while others say you have to drop the gun to take out your secondary weapon!
Personally I think you drop your weapon, but we shall see!

I don't know any noobs who are going to be able to get the button press perfect for dual weilding under high stress situations. I have a feeling dual weilding is something even us pros will have to learn to perfect.

Another DISadvantage...
Recoil is a -blam!- when you are dual wielding.
Anything more than short controlled bursts with two SMG's and you are all over the place. It will balance things nicely.

only at close range, or if you can magically control the recoil.

I know a way to control the recoil! :P Fire one weapon, then fire the other, that way you keep the same volume of bullets, and you dont have to worry about the recoil!

Ya but when they get really close accuracy doesnt matter all you need to do is unload your clips before he does it doesnt matter if the recoil sends your guns up.

The recoil isn't happening because you are firing two guns. It's happening because you are shooting with one hand. Without your other hand to steady your aim, the gun recoils more.

If you speak to Stabby Erik (he played it at E3) he said firing two guns seperatly helps keep the recoil down, Im not saying it will completely remove recoil but it makes it much easier to handle!

Well it could be any type of combination like for example Needler, Smg or Plasma pistol, Smg (cause of the overcharge) or weapon combinations of the same kind.

You're right (and so is erik)
It does help a little, but there is still more recoil than just "single-wielding"
I played at E3 also...

i think two needlers is nice cause its a pretty decent weapon now. it homes in allowing for more accurate mid range shots. faster needles too. also maybe not too much recoil cause it doesnt make sense for the needler but who knows. needlers have insanly fast reload unlike the other weapons which take a really long time while dual weilding. i think the only bad part is the 20 round clip.

The deal is:

You're not going to be able to dual weild 2-handed weapons. And 2-handed weapons will be slightly more powerful than single-handed weapons. Then when you dual weild with single-handed weapons, they'll either be slightly more powerful than a 2-handed weapon, or the same.

Duel weilding is meant for close combat purposes only 2-handed will always be a little bit stronger than one handed weapons.

I dont think there will be a poor dual wielding combo! They are all going to be ace in close quarter fighting! But they will get boned by mid-range guns (BR, Covie Carbine etc), and long range (Sniper and alledged Beam Rifle) and the Shotgun at really short range!!
