Thanx for the tip Halo 53! I'll post all the changes here. Just ignore the last two threads.

UPDATE! i've been looking around for more classic trilogy updates and have jsut noticed all the links and websites have been caught and teken off the web! Blamers! I'll try to find more links and hope there are others with the info I've given. Until then, the links may be perminently dead. Sorry.

According so several major sources, there will be many changes to the SW movies when they come on DVD next month. Many sources come from pirated copies (no, i do not have a pirated DVD) and other official and non-official sources. Here is a list of ALL known changes with their links.

Episode I: The Phantom Menace (DVD Re-Release):
* Puppet Yoda has been replaced completely by CGI.

Episode IV: A New Hope
* Light Sabers changed for Vader versus Ben Kenobi Death Star duel.
* TractorBeam control now in Aurebesh.
* Han and Greedo scene slightly changed (everyone's seen this).
* Jabba the Hutt redone from Special Edition Jabba.
* Boba Fett still mugs camera.
* Han still steps on tail - "You're a wonderful human being" - still there.
(The scene is an improvement over the SE - however, still not great.)

Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
* Emperor replaced with Ian McDiarmid.1 2
Dialogue in this scene has been slightly modified, indicating either that the Emperor knows it was Luke who nuked the Death Star, or that he is Vader's son. Maybe both. Otherwise, dialogue remains intact. Emperor's theme from Jedi also added into the scene.
* Boba Fett dialogue redone with Temuera Morison. (Jango Fett)

Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
* Hayden Christenson has replaced Sebastian Shaw only in the Force Ghost shot.
* Naboo has been added to the final planetary celebration montage at the end of the movie. It is a shot very similar to the helicopter shot of Theed in TPM when AATs are moving up the street towards the palace.

Why'd they change Fett? He was great before. Now he sounds... odd. He sounds like he's from New Zealand. Yes, I know it's what he's really supposed to sound like, but the original voice was far better anyways.

As much as I like the original and special edition Star Wars movies this one in my own opinion takes the cake. I like how the movies now flow better. I can hardly wait for Episode III now.

The original ones where fine, why did he change them? I can't say anything about the new menus, I don't have the normal ones on dvd. if he changes episode 1 and 2 that would be fine, although 1 was ok, but 2 was prietty dumb, he could have gotton a better Annie. I dread how horrible episode 3 will be.

Well, He just wanted to do some stuff he couldn't do 20, 10, or even 5 years ago.

There will only be one edition of the DVDs (so far...). These come out next month.

The Phantom Menace is ok, but Attack of the Clones is better! It's my 2nd favorite SW movie so far. Plus, I think Hayden did a great job as young Anakin. You can see the hate, fear, and the inner-child in his eyes.

I just know Revenge of the Sith will live up to expectations and be better than ever, escecially the opening space fight, the next Yoda Duel with Darth CENSORED, and the Anakin/Obi-Wan duel!

personally, I like the changes. It's to add consistency between the first movies and the prequels. Also, Episode III is actually gonna be really cool. PM me if you'd like to see a link that shows off the story. It's gonna be awesome, and will provide a missing link between the original movies and the prequels.

Also, you guys are aware that GL had Episode 1 planned out a long time ago, right? Star Wars was an enormous idea of his, and it was far too big for him to fit into one movie. So he cut it up into episodes. He started on Episode IV because the latter part of the trilogy was easier to do with the technological limitations of the time. I mean, could you ever imagine him doing the Clone Wars back then? I sure couldn't.

I mean, c'mon guys. He started at Episode IV because it was easiest for him to do. He had the ideas and story for the prequels long before he started filming them. I didn't think the prequels are super duper bad, but I definitely think he could've done better, especially with his actor choice for Anakin. Jake Lloyd sucked, and Hayden Christensen isn't too great, either. But the story is still good, and I think the third movie will be awesome.
