I've always been curious how the general public views bungienet...does everyone have itty bitty screens? Or giant 21" tubes? I know my buddies have little powerbooks and then don't even maximize the screen, so they're viewing sites at like 640x480...

Personally, I'm at 1600 x 1200 and hardly ever max the screen. (I don't like having to look to the left to read the site :P )

What about you guys? Feel free to comment too.

edit: I know these aren't all the options. Go ahead and pick the one that has the horizontal resolution of your screen. (ie: if yours is 1280x1024 pick 1280 x 960) thnxkbye!

Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).

1152 X 864 maximized window. Works well for me. I can just about get the side browser scroll in so it works nicely.

1024 x 768 maximized window, you'd have to be retarded to use anything less than 1024x768. Most new computers come with that anyway.

I change my resolutions with every page load and believe I represent 60% of the bell curve referring to Bungie.Net's target audience.

...

...Actually, 1280x1024, but you didn't make that an option. Jerk.

Same here. That's just the resolution on my laptop though. My desktop PC runs 1024x768 maximized.

1024 x 768 floating window... and UP. Depends on what work I have to do. Since my XP is skinned to look like tiger, I have the option to make very window a bar. So I usually have a ton of bars above my main window.

We should wonder about common things a little more.

I use 1024x768 maximized, but before the new hotness it was 800x600 maximized. I really should go back to 800x600, but the letters mold together too much now. I like using maximized windows because you can switch to a different window just by using the toolbar.

My usual viewing device is my 15" laptop screen that I have set to 1280x1024. I hate maximizing my browser under normal conditions because I like to have other applications (IM, etc) scattered around the edges. I also don't like pages to be stretched that far.

I anticipate sites to be designed to be viewed at 800x600 maximized. I try to keep my browser window at a size to accomodate those dimensions so that I can see most sites the way they're intended to be seen by the masses.

1280 x 1024 maximised.

  • 10.10.2005 9:22 PM PDT

Devil is Double is Deuce and Joker always trumps Deuce.

1600x1200 maximized. Which means that the actual forums end at a littel less than half the screen and the track for the toolbar ends at about 3/4 the way across.

Wooo, not long until the brainwashing is complete.

>_>

I use 1024x768 floating. I have Panther skinned to look... like Panther. Yay.
