Dear Bungie,
I was just wondering if the Special Edition Halo 2 in the metal case would be compatible with the regular Halo 2. Because last time me and my friends had a Halo and a Halo Game of the Year edition and they would not work together on system link. Please don't screw me again! I currently have 2 copies of Halo so I can play system link with different people. I just need to know if they will work together.

you mean to tell me there is 2 different kinds of cases? they all look the same to me. If there is a game of the year one, then i have that.

your problem must be somewhere else. because me and my brother play together all the time and he has he original version and i have the game of the year edition. the only difference is appearance. the program is the exact same.

go get another game that supports system link and try it out.

The problem with Halo 1 and Halo 1 GOTY was only with some copies of GOTY. My copy, for example, works just fine.

The Halo 2 and Halo 2 LE disks are being pressed from the same master copy of the game. There is no difference in the games between regular and LE. The difference is in the extra stuff and the special case that comes along with the LE.
