Not sure if this is confirmed or not, but I was told this came from official sources that were posted into a german magazine and then translated but from what they told me. Which a lot of you probably know already seeing as how I got this info from this forum. Is that the white button in multiplayer is not a flashlight anymore.
It's not that I mind that it's not a flashlight, but its a teamspeak button. I'm hoping its a toggle, but from the sounds of it, its makes it sound like you have to hold it down. If you're holding it down with your right thumb, you can aim or hit any of the other buttons. Which means you can't talk to your teammates while in a firefight. If it's a toggle, its okay. I don't see the reason for a teamspeak button seeing as how horribly that did in Ghost Recon. Nobody ever talks in Ghost Recon because they cant walk around, except for a straight line.
I want my halo 2 experience to be enjoyable and even a small thing like this can make it so much worse. Talking to your teammates is very important in a team based FPS like this. The best alternative I could think is that you could hold down the white buttton to talk to the enemy and the enemy gets an indicator saying an enemy is talking. That way the game fits for everyone, trash talkers and team players.
Sorry, that I went on so long about something small, but something like this can change someones online experience. Please, don't flame me or call me a newb for how long I've been with this forum, because I've been reading about Halo since its initial announcement, and I've gotten the game at release.
What do you guys feel about this?
