This has to be true because obviously if you're working on the biggest game of 2004 you wouldn't want to back up your data. Everyone also knows that ESPN always gets the inside scoop on first person shooters because that is their specialty.

[begin sarcasm] Yeah, because first person shooters are their specialty, they get the inside scoop before even Bungie knew about what happened. [end sarcasm] There is no way in hell that Bungie would not say they were pushing the date back. You should punish yourself for believing it.

I dont no if he is a lair but he sometimes acts stupid.

He's definitely a liar. Since when does ESPN cover videogames? And don't you think that if Bungie lost all the data for Halo 2, it would take a lot longer to make the whole game again than just a couple more months after November?

i think bungie probably has tons of backup CDs with all the code on it... and Bungie losing ALL of the code is well near impossible...

My stupid friend said that Halo 2 was coming out in Faburary. I tried to tell him it was either coming out on August 24th or November 9th and he said he saw this on ESPN. They said that the data was lost for the entire game and they had to start over. I think this is bull -blam!- but if anyone else saw anything like this please post.

I assume, besides the data loss crap, that your friend was watching a videotape he made a year ago. That's the most logical explanation for what this is.

If I'm not playing Halo, then I am watching ESPN... and I have never seen the word 'HALO' mentioned on that channel.
