Halo 2 getting shut off was a big slap in the face to its loyal community. It was done just to make money. Too many people were perfectly happy with Halo 2 and weren't buying any new games, so MS decided in order to sell their new -blam!- games, they would have to take the old good one(s) away from us.
Nintendo never took Mario Bros. away from us, and we shouldn't have to put up with Bungie's and/or Microsoft's -blam!-. I haven't, and don't plan on buying Reach. They're just trying to milk the name for every penny with another sub-par game. Sorry to those who take offence, but trust me. I put many years into Halo 2 (13-18 years old) , i'm 20 now and an economics major. So not just a random -blam!- hater. I mean, I and those who agree with me, we REALLY got slapped in the face- HARD. I thought my friends and I would be able to bust out Halo 2 when we are forty, and still have a good time. That dream is crushed and i'm never going to be able to experience what would be AMAZING nostalgia.
Bungie: Obviously the thought of remaking Halo CE and/or 2 is in your thoughts, and I would like to say to NOT bring it back IF it is not as good as the original: Smooth (perfect, like it was) gameplay is an absolute requirement. But if it came back, I would pay up to probably 200$ for it on low income, and probably up to 1000$ if I had the cash. Obviously, the cheaper it is, the more people buy it, and the better it becomes with more people. But you know. Just to give you an idea of the market demand.
And people, if we want Halo 2 back, we can do it. Just gotta show Bungie that there is a high demand for it. If Bungie thinks they can make more money per hour by simply reproducing Halo 2 instead of spending a lot more money to create a new game, SURE ENOUGH we will see Halo 2 come back to life.
Anyways thanks for listening.
