So was there ever a reason given for removing Slayer Pro from Arena? I mean there has got to be some reason, I'm just curious. I thought Arena was built for Slayer Pro kinda gametypes.

I just am yet to see any reasoning. Everything else pretty much makes sense.

Greatest H3 Match EVER

Dear Bungie, your Team Objective playlist sucks. Allow me to show you why a few very important details breaks down gametypes like CTF, Assault, and bomb.

Armor Abilities.

In all the above game types where you have to "return" an item, players on the defending team can simply armor lock to return the item. This is really frustrating because if you grab the item and run, you're going to be shot at from close range. If you wait, more enemies arrive. If you grab the item and beat down the armor locker, you're going to maybe kill him and be without shields. Calling this unfair doesn't do it justice. Even worse is:

Assault. Worse gametype ever. Actually, it's really amazingly fun. It is not fun to play Assault when you're trying to win a game and the enemy team runs in en mass and armor locks on the bomb. It's a guaranteed disarm every time. This is especially worse when you're in a map such as Reflection due to the short distance from cover to the bomb. There is no way to stop a player from doing that. So I suggest the following plausible fix to the problem:

With every item that has an actual "area" around it such as a "disarm area" or "return area" a player should be unable to activate any armor abilities. This may be weird or different for some players that are used to abusing armor lock in Objective gametypes but if this change happens in-game, objective gametypes will be fun and fair for everyone involved. The reason this is so unfair is because there's no way to "contest" a bomb being armed and having a group of players armor locking around a flag waiting to see who runs out of armor lock first is simply the most ludicrous idea I've ever seen actually happen. Please fix this in the next "update" that's coming out this month, I really hoped that this would have been fixed already but there's still time and hope. :D

Didn't slayer DMRs already have radar enabled?

Anyway, I'm done with arena until there is an MLG playlist or Slayer Pro/no radar one implemented. Honestly the whole point of Arena is that it was supposed to be competitive, and getting rid of Slayer Pro is just a step in the wrong direction.

Unless there is already plans to update one in the next update, in which case i dont mind waiting.

I'm liking the update! The Drop Shield being replaced by evade is a little sad. The shield is how my bro and I won in multi-team yesterday!

Nice update. May be for the next one could you guys Please look in to Fixing these problems and answering these questions?

Possible bugs/glitches I noticed:

I cant remember if its working as intended but, why is it that every time an item is used from a specific list of structures (I.E. a 3 story tower) it deducts that One point for ALL of the items in that specific list? Its aggravatingly annoying considering the fact that we already have a set budget to prevent an overload (if I am not mistaking). If its a bug, it needs fixing, if its not, please fix it any way. The way that items are consumed in Forge should work like how it did in Halo 3.

This bug/glitch is related to the Map (Forge World) its self. Apparently you cant venture underneath the water falls nor go through them for that mater. From what I can see its NOT outside the map boundaries so the kill zone effect should not be there nor should there be an Invisible Wall. By underneath the water falls I mean in the cave/rocky area and not under the water. Just to be clear. This also happens on the cliff side where the waterfall starts.

Things Missing (In FORGE):

I'm pretty darn sure the "Allow Editing: Party Leader ONLY" option for Forge was removed. This needs to either be fixed if it was supposed to be there or brought back if removed on purpose. Really... why remove something that important?

Alright, they may have added some new things, but what they took away is more important.
1. No Alpha Zombie.
2. No option to change active camo to halo 3 settings.
3. No option to make next zombie random, leader, or chump.
4. No VIP.
5. No instakill.
6. No option to pick percentage of zombies to start a round.
7. You need to give people 25% damage to splatter, so almost all vehicle games (Ice Cream Man, monster trucks...) need honour rules.
8. Infection with 1-life doesn't work. When the zombie dies the game doesn't end.
9. You can't set the points for objective game types. You cannot make a neutral territories map so that when you capture them all you win. The scoring is like king of the hill for each one.
10. No way of setting the game to Elites/Spartans only, like in matchmaking.
11. A lack of a zero second respawn.
12. They made classes for elites and Spartans in infection, shouldn't it be for zombies and humans?
13. Removal of a 1-10 scoring system. (Now its 1/2/5/10) Was it really that hard to add in a few more numbers?
14. Over shields are hardly noticeable.
15. Free-For-All style chat is terrible. You can't even plot without the zombie hearing, and vice versa.
I have no idea why they would take these settings away, especially since they are supposed to improve on their last game settings. With these gone, many of the most popular custom games go with it. I thought infection would be bigger and better than ever. Guess it's the opposite.
As more things missing are found, I will update the list.

P.S. Bring back the old H3 emblems. Allot of people miss them.

Glad Slayer pro is gone, It was really boring idc if some of you think it's uncool because Arena is supposed to be "Pro" and competitive but i disagree since the arena was made for everyone not just pros... In Invasion: I would like to see capture points labeled A and B And not just with a little dot. It's annoying when you are trying to cooperate. Also everything from this guys post needs to be ad heard to...

There is still a problem on Rumble Pit where the "Safe Havens" infection gametype on Zealot allows people to exit to the space area above and stay out of reach of the zombies completely thereby nullifying the point of "Safe Havens." The outerspace area becomes a huge headshot friendly Save Haven.

Can we fix that?

Arena Zealot has a soft kill zone in space so it's fixed lol

Have you even USED the H3 Forge?? Of course that feature worked! When enabled, the Party Leader was the only person who was allow to go into Monitor Mode while the guests stayed as regular players. Really how could you NOT notice that?

The feature needs to come back ASAP.

The problem was that it only disabled the D pad button for switching. There's a pause menu button for switching too. But I Dont see why they can't remove both of those options when the party is leader only

Still motion tracker on Arena? Take that thing off, configure to "motion tracker: allies only". This way Camo is not overpower and we can play a decent competitive environment.
