If I made a Post in the New Mombassa forum, about how the way most people are acting there is rude, and there's too much flaming, spam, etc, would it get moved back here? because it's not about Halo 2, but it's about that forum, and there's a lot of talk about it here, but to no effect there.

If you make an entirely new thread about this, then I'm 99.99% sure it will be moved back here. If you post it in an already made thread then it will stay there, but you will probably get flamed a bit from the spammers or other.......umm.......not too bright people.

No, it would be locked.

Posting to complain about the behavior of others on the forum doesn't help anything, unfortunately, it just gives the other people that want to complain a thread to nod their head on, and the flamers a place to act smug. In the end, it doesn't really help do anything.

If you want to help the moderators out, the best approach is to set an example. Post the way you feel posts should be made in the forums. Ignore spammers and flamers. Report problem threads or replies on threads by discreetly pm'ing a mod with a link, and the name of the problem user.

Well, I wouldn't flame anyone or anything, I would be going like "YOU STUPID...!" I wouldn't even be complaining, I would just be notifying everyone there, that some peoples behavior is causing much concern to other users, and that it is starting to deteriorate the forum. but if thats still a problem, I don't know what you guys want to do about anything there because I haven't seen any sort of action taken there at all,

Shishka is right. The best way to make the forum better is to post something worthwhile, on-topic and thoughtful.

Like Confucius said, "It's better to light one small candle than to curse the darkness". As soon as some of the "grumpy old men" of the forums start to take that idea on board, the forums will start to improve.

grumpy old men

I title I was due for some of my behaviour over the past few weeks..... But I have learnt the error of my ways. Now I ignore the fools, help out the new guys as best I can, and I feel better because of it. I am telling you, posting on b.net sure can help you get over splitting up with a girlfriend.....
