Riddick was a good game considering that all movie/superhero games suck, I was suprised that it was well done voice acting, faces, game play, and graphics are all great!

It was extremely well done -- But I don't know about classic

riddick, ninja gaiden,rs3,wolfenstein on live, knights of the old republic, splinter cell one and two,the espn sports games if you are into those, rallisport, midtown madness, both gotham racing games, halo, mechassault on live. i am sure i could keep going.

Ninja Gaiden is great bit the 8-bit games on the NES were WAY better,

Ninja Gaiden for the Xbox has Ninja Gaiden 1, 2, and 3 in it. You have to get 50 Scarabs. So how can it be worse if it has the 3 games included?

Riddick is good but not great, Ninja Gaiden is great bit the 8-bit games on the NES were WAY better, Wolfenstein has a neat Mulktiplayer on Live - but it's a poor game compared to Unreal or Halo, KoToR suffered from bad framerate, but it will be a classic because it's a great game. Splinter Cell , and SC:Pandora Tomorrow are OK but not great - they are too easy, and there's no replay value. Sports games can't really be considered for the classic title anymore -- not since they started coming out yearly.Tecmo Bowl still owns. RalliSport - No good -- Gran Turismo still kills it for overall innovation. Midtown madness? You are smoking...something. Gotham Racing 1, bad game - Gotham 2 - Good, but still no GT. Halo - will be considered a classic. and MechAssault would be much better if they had kept the MechWarrior Gameplay instead of making it a generic 3rd person shooter.

Most of those games are still fun though, and that is what it boils down to. Though I agree with you on most of those aspects, I don't like GT... all I liked it for was the buying cars part. And I think Forza Motorsport or whatever the hell it is called will kill it.

You miss the point -
It will be 'worse' as you put it, because the actual game is worse -- the other games are bonuses in the game -- the Original games will be considered the classics no matter what package they are in.

Yeah, I didn't really like Mario or anything. Pokemon I was in to, but just for collecting the cards. But then they started going over board, started losing creativity. Now the best thing they can think of is - ooo...a lamp monster....they're not even trying anymore.

WHAT?!! Mario was a classic, but we're already in the Golden Age of video games. A perfect example would be.....:Halo and Halo 2. Enough said.

No matter how good all 4 of the other racers out there are GT4 will win, because of all its Fanboys and reputation....and because its accutally a good race sim...

The Arcade mode of GT was good enough to nudge it away in my eyes.

We are surely not in the golden age at the moment, that I know for sure, unless have one uber awesome game (Halo) makes it a golden age... then we are in the golden age. However, I believe the golden age is just beginning. But we are DEFINITELY not in it at the moment, I can tell you that for sure. IMO Fable is the first sign of the golden age (as it is released first).

Yes, but you gotta figure -- there's a reason for them being fanboys. Just like here we would be considered Halo fanboys (I am!).

I think the Golden Age will start with the Next Gen consoles You've got whole new gaming hardware to work with, who knows what developers will come up with

OK The Golden Age of gaming is Soooooo Far away, we couldnt even count the days leading up to that point and time. fable,Halo,Halo2 etc. We are 0000000000000000000.01 percent close to EVER getting into the Golden Age of gaming, so lets just enjoy the "Silver Age" of Gaming whilst we can.

I think the Golden Age of video games is yet to come. We need the virtual reality total immersion stuff of the future. Like the bad ass stuff Tom Clancy's Net Force uses. Where you are like really there. Then the immersion would be off the charts.

But don't you think games like Halo will be remembered in the future?

BTW... I don't think I would like games like that... I mean I like immersion... but come on... it isn't even really a game there... I like good old fashioned "point and click."

I stated Nintendo of America because in my opinion, their creativity is at an all time high. While they may not be focusing their ad campaigns on us older gamers, they have the potential to make great games for our demographic. They will have to concede to online play, but as they point out, only 8% of gamers who play online actually pay for the service, and it does cost them a few too many gold coins to keep the servers up and running.

While online may be a great experience, Nintendo is still an old school Japanese business, and they will watch where every penny falls. They will step into the online arena soon enough, but probably to a more social and less hardcore level. As they note of course, most people who play games online prefer to play them on a PC, which is true.

The innovation I'm talking about is some of the software. Anyone ever heard of Animal Crossing? A kids game for sure, but a damn smart
piece of code and creativity.
