I think it would be cool if American car companies like Ford or Doge or GMC took the civilian warthog and made it into a real vehicle. If they did I would buy it. Plus they can load it with a kick ass stereo, on star, DVD player; you know all the cool technologies that us Americans invented (which is everything). Any way that would be the coolest vehicle in the world, perfect for families, single people, couples, off duty military, celebrities, and politicians. It would be perfect for off-roading and hunting. The only flaw I can think of is that it would not be good to drive in cold or rainy weather. If you have any ideas or comments please reply but do not say any thing negative and do not flame.

A civilian vehicle maybe, but definitely not a military one: it would in fact be totally impractical as a modern military weapon. The whole purpose of a military vehicle is to not only provide a means of quick transportation on a wide variety of terrain, but to also provide a source of protection and cover to its occupants. The warthog, as you know, is completely open to the environment; it would be a death trap to anyone inside during an actual combat situation. Not only that, but the rear gunner is completely exposed to enemy fire. He would probably be the first to die.

Now, there are certain military vehicles that are open like that (for instance, the combat dune-buggy currently in service with the US Navy Seals,) but as it stands, the HMMWV that is in use now is a much more practical solution.

That triple-barreled .50 Cal chaingun, on the other hand…

Woh… I just totally wrote like a three paragraph rant, without even meaning to…

yes ive always thought how awesome it would be to pull up to a LAN party in a warthog wearing a full suit of NightmareArmor...(and a bow tie)... but they would probably change stuff abuot it (other than the LAAG obviously) and it would just be screwed it up.. i would want an exact replica (minus the LAAG of course)...

I think it would be an awsome off read vehicle. for rock crawling or mudding, but i don't know about a hog that was road worthy. it would look better off road.

You saying "all the cool technologies that us Americans invented (which is everything)." Goes in the top ten most provoking things I have ever heard, you can't expect me to ignore that.

Anyway, if the back part had a hood for lugage and maybe doors like the arctic version in Halo 2, it would be nice, a military purpose warthhog would suck really, but, as anoither mamber said, the 3 barrel chaingun would kick ass. They should fit one of those on a HMMW (sp?). For street and family purpses, the 'hog would probably be more like a status symbol. Its like racing bikes and offroad bikes, the racer is best in the streets, while the ofroader (warthog) is best in terrain.
