Ok, so I made my map. It was originally a .wmp file. I saved at again as a .map file, which is what seems to be the map files in Halo CE. I put it in my halo ce maps folder, like the maps I download. I run halo ce, and it says corrupted or missing file. Do I need to use a special conversion tool? Also I was wondering if I needed to add the scripts and character models as well.

No, no you can't. For it to play with CE you need a .map file. You need the HEK to turn your 3d model into a playable map.
