Mine is in Battle Creek, you know how there are 2 sniping spots? Well the one that dosnt have the rocket lanucher beside it (and you can jump there too). Well the one that has the spot and then what seems like nothing off to the left? you can get up the left side and then get ontop. I surprise my friends so much by doing that, lol.

SO WHAT ARE YOURS?!?!?!?!?!

Having 'Sniping spots' as you say makes you a much weaker player, this is because with having spots means you have to camp in that area. Yes, a good sniper will use high ground to his/her advantage but can use ANY area to his advantage (yes that means on the floor of Sidewinder).

I don't have a favourite sniping spot, I constantly move from area to area to make my kills. That way I'm more unpredictable and less likely to get countered by another sniper discovering my posistion.

That is a very good point. You should constantly move so the enemy can never fix their sights onto you. Staying is one spot for a prolonged time would eventually end up in your being shot, possibly fatally. I have been using that tactic ever since I got Halo. By the way, BLOOD GULCH RULES!!!!!

Five Tenets of Bungie.net Forum Life:
1. Trolls will always be well fed.
2. Blame-ability thy name is stosh.
3. Bungie has no control over retail prices.
4. Watch out for low-flying defense drones.
5. Seven is not optional, but rather, an inevitability.

I try and keep moving to different spots. The highest ground is usually the best, but in Hang 'Em High, It's easy to get taken out if you stay at the highest point in the map.

The best sniping spot in Halo is when you get on top of Blood Gulch using a ghost behind the red base, then backing up the invisible slope until Blood Gulch is the size of a baseball. It's very hard to spot you because you can easily be confused with a star in the sky.

Never stay in one area. That is dumb. Back when it first came out it was fun to have sniper wars, but then we figured out that it is too easy to figure out where people hide. But if you must know, mine is any rock in the middle of BG. Out in the open, 'cause people are always looking for you at the "sniping spots."

he's talking about on top of blood gulch, not in the tower...and if i had to pick just a single sniping spot...it would be on either one of the bridges in chill out. ( in the room where you get the plasma rifle)

i have to disagree with the anti camping attitude people are putting up, it doesnt work so well in halo simply because of how the sniper rifle funtcions... i. e. the trail of smoke the bullet leaves behind... it makes it possible for others to see your location. but in other games ive played, (unreal tournament, counter strike) camping is a legitamite strategy, and can rack up some kills. and if this makes one a n00b, so be it. and plus, if you know where the campier/sniper is...just kill him and stop -blam!-in. and btw, ive no real sniper spot, because as i said before, the smoke trail in halo makes it a bit difficult.

I think that is the purpose of the smoke trail, credit to Bungie for it anyway, without it camping would rule and make for very boring games.
