it all may add strategy, but it would suck to go 2/3 slower and not being able to drive warthog or atv away

My point exactly. Also out of the vehicles we know of the only two that can allow passengers to ride on them are the Shadow and the Creep. So if either one of them are destroyed you are screwed even if u have the best teammates in the world. Halo isnt about strategy it is about, Shoot them get the flag, and run away as fast as possible. Requireing alot of strategy means u wont be able to just pick up and play. You have to comunicate to them. And most of the time on xlive games you enter there wont be alot of coordination. I mean half the halo games i went into on XBC, i would get betrayed just so some idiot could have my sniper rifle. I wouldnt call that strategy

It's obvious that they are focusing more on teamwork. If your team isn't as good as the other team then you lose. You are part of a team. To think of yourself means you aren't thinking of your team either, maybe that's why you lose. Plan together, attack together, win or lose TOGETHER. That's part of being a team. If you can't handle that go play slayer. It's all you then.

Your team is only as strong as your weakest player.

Requiring team work to win isnt Halo, Halo is about shooting the guy getting his flag and leaving. Like i said requireing strategy to win detracts from pick up and play which Halo was renound for. No i take that back it doesntdretract it it removes it all together

Alright. Well, I'm gonna have fun playing Halo 2. Just keep playing Halo if you like it so much more. I'd rather play assault than ctf anyway. It makes more sense, and I'd rather use teamwork, it's much more fulfilling when your team wins rather than just one guy. It really doesn't take that much strategy.

Again STRATEGY IS NOT HALO if you want strategy go off and play some RTS, Halo was all about pick up and play and u had a chance to win even if your team sucked, and besides if the flag is vissible and is able to be shot off whats the problem, people who have played Halo 2 say u cant get far with a vehicle anyway now so this only makes it unbalanced. Halo was unbalanced because you could drive with it and vehicles were indestructible. Now vehicles are destructible and u cant drive it isnt balance it the exact opposite balance would be vehicles destructible and drive with flag or vehicles indestructible and u cant drive with the flag.

People also said it passed their expectations, so Bungie must have done something right. If it's as bad as you say then they would've said it sucked. You make it sound like it's the worst thing in the world.

Bungie can still have people able to drive with the flag and keep it balance, Having the flag visible and having being able to be shot out is only realistic. I mean they are Spartans, they could shove the flag through the metal skin of the warthog if they wanted to.

No, no driving with the flag means MORE TEAM WORK i.e. Bungie trying to make it like playing with your friends on your couch. You people are all just looking after your stats instead of having fun the way a game is meant to be.

No, i dont care about stats. MORE TEAM WORK means LESS HALO. if u go on xbox live and just jump into a CTF game what are the odds that the other players on your team are going to come get you in a vehicle that allows passengers. again less balance, less halo. Halo aint about strategy and it aint about team work.

That's not to say you can't use strategy. Going into the enemy base guns a-blazing isn't such a great idea unless you know what you're doing, which is why people must resort to tactics in some situations.

Listen here. I don't really think you understand the concept of "Multiplayer" and "Team battle inside MP". See, in team battles, its kinda the point to use some form of team work. Seriously, if you are gonna be such a pansy and whine and -blam!- about it then dont play CTF. Halo is about strategy (for the good players anyway). Lets say you were pinned down by 5 Elites. You have no pistol ammo and only half your AR weapon, with two grenades. You'd be the person who charged in shooting, hoping you could kill them all before they slaughtered you, right?

You're just angry because not everybody else in the world plays like you do. Everyone has different plaing styles, and your's has apparently taken over your mind, telling you that it IS the one and only way to play Halo. Well, hate to burst your happy little bubble, but it's not.

On a edited sidenote: Halo IS teamwork in a TEAMWORK oriented game. I've never ONCE had a problem of people NOT using teamwork on a server if you gather them correctly. When's the last time someone did not jump into the back of a empty warthog? Drive the hog you were gunning? Run with you when he/she saw 5 other enemies with you?

If you have not any of those above, you're probably the person people hate playing with in a team situation.

No actually i would peek around the corner and wait for the right time and then throw the grenades then in the smoke i would run away very fast. Requireing teamwork to win means that It will remove the pick up and play feel of Halo. I am not saying that i dont like strategy, i am that kind of person i love seeing a perfectly timed move by my team made. But making it so that teamwork is the ONLY was to win is unbalance, unhalo, un fun, it removes everythingthat halo was good at. Now strategy is the best way to win, but if something goes wrong u are screwed there is no other way out of it. What i am complaining about isn't the strategy it is that they are making strategy the ONLY way to win by not being able to drive with the flag. Bungie needs to balance it so that if u are the only one left standing on your team u can still win.

I personally like the idea of not being able to drive with the flag, but I've hardly ever done that because I've hardly played with more the three people! Also, you people need to stop comlpaining, complain about when the game comes out.

I trust Bungie. I know they will make it fair, and even if they'res a slight disadvanedges, who cares? Halo had many disadavantedges (i.e. the pistol) that werent realistic at all. ANd you really can't say how bad its going to be until you've played it. So...post your complaints about it on November 9th or 11th.

Well first you must have sucked very badly with the pistol if you consider it a dissadvantage. But yes u are right halo had alot of unrealistic things. They are trying to change that in Halo 2 which is why not driving with the flag is so confusing to me. I mean it is as stupid as indestructible vehicles. They need balance. Destructible vehicles and driving with the flag would be the perfect balance.

Well, from what it seems your saying, is that because whoever you play with sucks, you seem to assume that everyone else will suck with teamwork. This maybe jsut moe, or it may be everyone else who disagrees with you, but I cna tell you, its not true. In fact, on CTF in Halo, the only reason I'd ever win is because of teamwork. My and my friends have good teamwork, unlike the people you play with. I bet almost everyone can say that. Also, it sound to me like you try and rely on them too much. You have to have two option for every situation in CTF. One) helped by team..... Two) Get out yourself. Even if one seems possible there's always the chance it will work.

Yes using strategy is good, but if you make it the only way it is stupid. That is what this is doing requiring there be communication between the team members so they know. If there is non you cant win. That is what bungie needs to correct.
