Mr B wants answers Shishka. We all do. There's an old saying (and i paraphrase): If you want a child to behave, pat his head when he does well. If you want an adult to throw a tantrum, ignore him.
Our problem is not that we do not like the answers Bungie/Gearbox/MS have given us. We have been ignored by Bungie, Gearbox, and Microsoft in our pleas to fix the problems with Halo PC. The only people left to talk to are our peers. Three times i have read from different moderators commenting on these issues that "the powers that be" do not/will not/would not be bothered to read the Maw because it is such a quiet, well behaved forum. After more than a month of Mr B, myself, and others virtually spamming the Maw with pleas to fix the problems inherent with the game, I wonder...does the same hold true still?
Newsflash number 3: You have just given Mr B exactly what he wants. Direct attention from a higher level mod than goweb.
I can't speak for Mr B, but I do read my own work. My work has gone from happily helpful to total anti-Bungie. And I mean every word I've written. The Bungie.net servers are a bad joke. Halo PC is out of control, "arrogant sods" taking over the servers and using cheap programs to enhance their own poor skills. Bigitous propoganda and rascist slander have become part of the venacular in game as surely as abreviated text like "inc" or "gj". In fact, I see the spam more.
Yes, you can blaclkist Mr B for his complaining. You can ban me too. If they so desired, Bungie could silence the lot of us and close the Maw, wash their hands of the situation. Of course, you run the risk of turning Mr B from an annoying loud mouth (no offense intended) into a martyr and Bungie creating a PR nightmare worse than the mess they already have. But these are options open to you. Because you're a moderator and Bungie has control over these forums. See how that works?
In the end (and you know this as well as anyone) Mr B is not the problem. ME=KING and his ilk--and the hacker losers all over this game--are. As long as they exist and run through the servers without control or reprieve, people like Mr B--and me--will continue to get pissed off. But this is off topic from my intended post.
You have no more authority than we do? You have no more means of communication than we do? Very well, I'll accept your word until I or another proves otherwise. Lets talk about what you can do.
You can email problems about the game to MS, Bungie, and Gearbox. You can because we can. You can call them. You can search the web for information regarding this problem, find proof (Mr MA5B has a nice vid of a Tker in his sig if you're interested and there is a vid of an autolead program in action found in the Gearbox forums) to show them if they should ever contact you and say "lag is fine or a problem with your PC; there is no aimbot, we ban TeamKillers".
My question is, have you? This may sound like I'm calling you out. I'm not. I'm giving you and every other mod in these forums (Goweb in particualr) the chance--here and now--to speak. Even if you think there are no problems in Halo PC, I--we--want to hear your view. Just don't answer with silence Shishka. I think everyone here has had about enough of that.
EDIT: to the other mods responding to this thread.
goweb, yeah, you have mentioned some frustration about the game. When you said you still play Halo PC and had not disgarded it as the Big 3 seem to have, I revised some opinions of the mods in this forum (until today). I hope others will as well. But, whether Bungie gets money from XBL or not, you have to agree that all their attention has become focused on H2 and the upcoming H3 release for 360. The question is, why? The original intent of blu eylmo, IMO, was to suggest that they are going where the money is, and Halo PC isn't making any because its so "old". To those readers that choose to believe that Bungie/gearbox/MS are not making money on Halo PC, I suggest you check the net. I can't find anything newer, but Halo PC was #17 best selling game for the month of Augest, this year according to guru. That's far from a dead horse, so the money to invest in game support is there. The question is, if the money is there, where is the support???
Yoozel: Thank you and I wish you luck. Keep us informed please; we're all interested in knowing how you progress (or don't, as the case may turn out). This is the kind of response we've been pleading for from the moderators at Bungie.net. tell us you're as frustrated as we are...and that you're trying to help too.
At last, a return to you Shishka. I asked goweb once to email members of the PR staff of bungie and was none too subtle in that request; that's the closest i've ever come to verbally smacking down an admin in these forums. Until today. I hope that your next post will be considerably more constructive than your last. Your comments, flames, and threats today have managed to bring the moderator communtiy, as a whole, down in my estimation. This is unfortunate...for the other mods. If you do choose to ban Mr B for his comments, I suppose I'll be next on the chopping block. A request, when that day comes. Don't waste my time on threats, young man. Aside from having no effect on my views, they do nothing to improve the sentiment toward Bungie in these forums. And one last piece of info, Shishka: when you cut off a member because his views conflict with yours...that IS suppression. And when a mod for the Bungie forums does it, they do it as a representative of Bungie.
To quote a recent post: "Grow up."
