Is it just me or did the Halo 3 forums transform into Halo Twitter Blogs?

Not just you.

"I'll tell you right now, if you ever see someone called ll wa1do ll... leave the game immediately. My friend knows him, I've been in his party a few times, do not mess with this guy. From what I've heard, he's the real deal. I also heard someone made a guy named Wa2do (similar to his name) and then he hacked that guy and boosted off his level." -From Minou on Bungie.net

That is just your opinion.

Halo 3 multiplayer is still very popular. Incidentally i've noticed an increase of players online in the last few weeks.

I bought a Reach Edition 360 (Used to own a 360, sold it in early 2009 to solve some money issues) because I missed having a 360 to play on. Reach was obviously a huge part of that purchase.

I still like Reach but multiplayer is very hit or miss. A lot of the maps (to me) are duds and I think the armor abilities and loadouts are distracting once you get over the newness. I also vastly prefer the dual wield system from H2/H3. When I went straight from 3 to Reach (I never played ODST and don't really care to) I couldn't believe that they ditched dual wielding. Just dumb, IMO.

If you have an old copy of H3 sitting around and you want to play H3 online, you just have to drop 17 dollars on the map packs (If you're like me and you never bought them beforehand). Easily worth it. I'll play Reach too, I just prefer H3's multiplayer... which is where the replay value is at.

If you're wondering why I have no history on H3, I decided to just start a fresh Gamertag for the new console. Kind of fun to have a fresh gamerscore to work on, especially going back to play older games that feel new again.

Agreed.

Probably because reach is not what a lot of people expected it to be. I expected a better game with a much better matchmaking experience. I may someday return to it, when they update it and add more maps.

Bungie confirmed this to be a bug.

Bug or not, there are still plenty of people playing Halo 3 online. With a new gamertag I am able to easily find games full of level 1 players starting on new ladders.

The player base is a lot smaller than it used to be, but considering it used to be utterly massive... that's not a problem.

Halo 3 is by no means greatest Halo game. Halo 3 is like the kid with down syndrome who runs around your school freely smashing into things left and right.

Halo 1 > Halo 2 > Halo Reach

Halo 3 doesn't even deserve to be mentioned.
fix'd

Yes buy H3, it's still thriving and it's a VERY good game. A breath of fresh air after Reach.

I honestly miss some of the features in Halo 3,though halo reach has pretty much got me occupied.I hate it when bungie involves you with another new story,I was hoping to see the Master Cheif in his starting days instead of being introduced to a whole new storyline like Halo 3;ODST.[I wish H3ODST was a full fledged series].But,the series meets its end and bungie probable wont make as many changes.
