Me being me, I have to pick faults with EVERYTHING. Don't get me wrong tho I can't wait to see the sarg kick some covi ass but i have noticed something while playing threw legandary mode (for the 5th time) which seemed like nothing the time first few times. But now that we all know the sarg is makin a come back I thought i would bring this to light.

Do not flame me untill you have read all of this

I am fully aware of Sargent J healing properties caused by a brith defect (or sommat along those lines) and the flood spores

On the final video (this is only on legendry mode for the ppl who haven't completed that let) we all remember seeing sargent J and a covi elite hug and in the back ground we can see the PoA

We can also bring up the fact that on the level before this, where cortona tells you the the explosion of the PoA's engins will cause an explosion (consider they are fusion engins the explosion would also be a nuke explosion) generating over 100 million degress of heat.

Now as far as we know (scientificy anyway), a human body can not withstand those temprature levels or radiation levels as every organ, every cell, every strand of DNA in his body would be destroyed, so the flood spores would have nothing to repair (if they themselves survive).

Then if by some muraclus chance he survives the explosion he then has to find away to survive in space without a sealed and presurised envronment, because as most ppl know if a human goes into space without these, the lack of pressure from surrounding particles would cause his body to explode as the gas inside atempted to defuse.

However some could say he managed to reach an undamaged spaceship and fly to safety, so we'll reffure back to the legendary ending video. I would believe that it is about 5 second between the time we last see the sarg, and the time where we see halo exploding.

In this time frame the J man would have to:

A: break free of the elites grip
B: find a ship capable of space travel and with damage to the life support systems or the engines systems
C: locate and sucure the control room of that ship
D: inisalise the launch protocol and escape before being enveloped by the explosion of the PoA

and all this rides on the fact that he can fly a space ship, but can he? considering he is a ground trooper I find it highly unlikely that he would know how to fly a human space craft or a covi space ship (most armies believe it to be a waste of resourses to train ground troops to fly anything)

When we listen to all these fact I think its clear that it is imposible for sargent Johnson to survive. Sorry to burst everyone bubbles (as the saying goes), but as i say I was looking forward to his return but this should just ruin it for every1.

Him and the Elite didn't hug. It was an Easter Egg. He escapses on a Pelican.

If you remember from Halo:first Strike MC sees a Pelican Dropship on back of a meteor I think. So Johnston didnt have to find a dropship. The dropship probably picked him up. They were also a considreably distance away from the blast. If MC ship could outrun the blast Im guessing so could a dropship. With a damn good pilot.

I know its stupid but i never read first strike but, even if that is true it still gives them 5 seconds to meet up and get out

::laughs:: There is no confirmation of any healing abilities. Reread first strike,Doctor Hasley says he *appears* to have 'curious regenerative abilities' but she can not confirm these side effects. Page 245.

The legendary ending didn't actually happen, it's just there as a funny thing to watch after beating legendary. Sarge's healing powers didn't come from a birth defect, in fact, he doesn't actually have healing powers at all. he has a cerebral disease he got from radiation as a result of using too many plasma grenades. The flood couldn't infect him because him nervous system is so screwed up that the flood can't infect it. He wasn't on halo when it exploded. We find out in the book that he and a few other people got on a pelican and left shortly before the Pillar of Autumn's reactors blew.

The legendary ending was just for laughs. In the books he hooked up with some survivors and got off the ring. And how do we know they didnt get off the ring a day before it blew up?!?!?

just to interrupt on the ship MC says did anyone else make it? and cortana said 'scanning' 'just dust and echoes' (beside 343 guilty spark) that means noone else made it. i love the sarge coming back in halo2. Him not dying is like a halo trademark =)
