well since apparently Waypoint already linked to it....which i was unaware of till someone posted it on my deviant art...I think posting it here would be rather redundant...but here it is...with some creative liberties of course!

fixed lazy link

awesome to the max. I guess you just used a standard USB for it...

maybe stick a blue LED or something in it, to make it glow as in-game.

also, maybe it would look better if the USB itself was less pronounced, or even better, slidable so it give a cleaner look when hidden inside. or cabled ... i can go on with this...

those are good suggestions though most of them were actually considered.
yes it is a standard USB circuit board, i looked into inserting an LED since the one on the drive is near the plug, however with the circuit board being designed as small as it was i could not find where to wire it in at, as i wanted it to react when the drive was in use, both for effect, and because i did not want to increase the size by including a power source for the light. Also in order to make it slid-able i would have had to again, increase the thickness, which since it was already off scale I wanted to avoid that.

It is a little "sloppy" but overall it is pretty cool. Does the center piece light up in the middle or no?

how about taking the power from the USB plug itself? you loose the activity flashing but you can then use more LEDs to light up the center...

hence where i said i could not find where to wire it in at.

well admittedly yes it is pretty sloppy, but also be aware its made of foam some metallic paint, hot glue, and some parts i gutted from an old camera that no longer worked.
