UNSC wins... Not even a real contest.
Fix'd
Don't fix anything that isn't broken.
Yep, you're right so I still have to fix your broken post. Do some research about both universes and then come back. Since I'm just not in the mood to explain this again I'll give you a short version:
Dreadnought's would be the only ships that are able to effectively combat weaker UNSC ships, until they get hit by a MAC or a nuke or couple hunderd Archers (GARDIAN defenses are easy to overwhelm and ME shields are much weaker and inferior when compared to Energy Shielding), sadly the amount of Dreadnoughts is very low, Heavy Cruisers have much weaker cannons and are smaller.
38 kiloton is enough to one shot most Citadel ships, let me get some numbers:
UNSC Frigate MAC: something between 60-70 kiloton
Super MAC: 51,6 Gigaton (this one is superior to Dreadnought's cannons, same RoF, but higher projectile speed and 3000ton >>>>> 20kg)
HORNET Space Mine: 30 Megaton, overkill on every Citadel vessel
HAVOK Tactical Nuclear Weapon: 30 Megaton and they also come nicely packed in a missile (tactic Spam Archers till GARDIAN overheats, fire da nuke, enhoy the show)
NOVA Bomb: 1,2 Petaton, let me get this in ME friendly numbers:
1.200.000.000.000 Kiloton.
UNSC firing weapons through Slipspace = suprise NOVA at the Citadel -> Aliens are in chaos
Prowlers use Pulse Lasers, energy weapons ignore kinetic barriers and ME ships aren't exactly heavy armored, a Splazer would probably be able to take out a Frigate...
Plus UNSC being a real military, not a bunch of Federation wannabes is also an advantage...
The only weapon I ever saw the ME fleet use that could destroy a UNSC ship was the shoop da whoop esque laser blast that destroyed the Collector ship at the end of ME 2.
That was pretty beast, but that's assumning the UNSC would even give them the chance...
The Thanix Cannon is a prototype and its expansive and it's not a laser blast, its super heated metal.
Nobody uses it since a prototype and its to expansive, we only saw Shepard using it in ME2 and he is not part of the Citadel Fleet in ME2. So untill any canon source clearly gives us a Citadel ship that uses them I don't really see them as a vialable option. Plus you need much less firepower to destroy a ME ship and that beam wasn't exactly fast...
A UNSC Super Carrier would still lol at the futile attemps to destoy it though...
