It seems like the forums are in an activity slump. I got grounded from the compy for week. I sneak on half-way through, only to find the forums even more inactive than before. Now the week is over. It seems to be the worst activity level I've ever seen(not including the period of the infamous Post-Reply bug).

Personally, I think this is due to lack of things to talk about. The plot in Halo 2 has been analyzed till its ready to kill itself. Theories for Halo 3 are all the same now. I think that activity is just going to get worse from here on out, until the next project is announced, and we have things to discuss, argue over, and theorize.

Your thoughts?

¶ I so agrred, for a week or 2 I barely had times for my groups just coming to the septagon. Now I hardly come here, twice a day almost, and nothing changes. Ive joined more groups to keep me occupied.

It seems its like this all over b.net though, even in the groups im in. Everything is slowing down.

I think we need SOME new awesomoz topic to string out for a week until its beaten to a pulp. That would help things.. ¶

Go to Optimatch. A lot of people have flooded over there with the new XBL playlist.

I don't really care. I notice it, but it's just another cycle of Bungie.net. Think of this- after this slump, people will want to talk about anything at all. So once something big happens, the forums will be super active.

To Make Posts is Glorious

Some threads will get posts before others and it is the duty of the Leadership to ensure that posts are made that best suit the public welfare.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Yeah Halo 2 is almost 1 years old now. Its tired. When Bungies next big thing is announced this place will be bumping.

Yeah. A bit of a stretch to say it's almost two years old.

Well, as we all know years go by fast so nearly one year can be considered two. And just double that little time and you have four, practically five. So, if you think about it, Halo 2 has been out for several years...

Hey, it happens to everyone. There is no doubt that people will be coming back, but it's just that right now, as you said, we're in a bit of a slump due to the game being out for awhile. In a couple of months, when we get some news on either Halo 3 (or whatever they're working on) the forums will be buzzing with anticipation and theories will start to be formed.

I actually like the forums being a bit more quiet. Think of it this way, now that the first couple of month Halo 2 hype is over, only the really dedicated guys are sticking around. This means less fanbois and more veterans.

In theory, that is.

I'm betting that Bungie is going to announce its next project in December, after the Xbox360 has blown over. Then, the forums will get a little Viagra Injection...

I hate everything, but it's not my fault.

Your mom is in a slump.

*ahem*
Yes, but the forums have natural cycles, everything will be super insane again once Bungie announces their next project. I like it quieter though.

dude, you pulled a jesus!

Like Banshee Baron said, this means there are less fanboys and more people here just to have fun. Thinking about fanboys makes me fear for the forums when bungie's project is announced...

Seventh Column Contests

Spetagon was slow to start with, all the other forums are fine. The Septagon has always been slow, every now and then it picks up activity but for the most part it is slow.

I like it this way. It kinda reminds me of the old sexness.

It also now gives me time to do other things instead of just stalking these forums... like creating my own Forum :D

I beg to differ. Wasn't on yesterday and I've look at some threads (including this one) and can say different.

And good job with the 2 years for Halo 2, it made me laugh.
