I understand your point that letting bungie or, for that matter 343 mess around with halo will be dangerous (look at halo wars). But I disagree that you would no longer be able to find the old copy's. I think that you are trying to relate this to a remake of a movie and that is why I understand your concern. You bring up the point that it should be left alone so that people could see that "You can see what the graphics. were like, how the game worked with a simple code, and how a story line has been carried out over the years." This game will be left preserved simply because millions own this game with more still downloading it off of xbox live market place. With more than five million copies sold worldwide as of November 9, 2005 that number has near doubled from then. There is no under supply of these games they are still sold and, once put on xbox live it won't be removed. The hardcore Halo CE owners will always be able to get there hands on a copy if needed or, bust out there own "Loved" disk and pop it in to the xbox. If you have concern for the game then you'd be open to the prospect of the recreation of the game so that the younger generation would have the chance to fall in love. Give them the chance that you had. If it was up to me I would try in the most to keep it the same no "new and improved storyline" or "bonus extra levels" the same as it was indented by Bungie. The difference? It's now in HD.
