We’ve watched while the stars burned
Out, and creation played in reverse.
The Universe freezing in half-light.
Once I thought to escape.
To end a master, step out of the
Path of collapse. Escape would make us God.
Yet I cannot help but remember one enigma,
A hybrid, elusive destroyer.
This is the one mystery I have not solved.
The only element unaccounted for.

I realize I was incorrect in not adding my answer to the thread topic when I added my reply about the Apes earlier. I still hope someone got a chuckle, though.
I don't think I'm exactly qualified to say whether Bungie should remake Marathon, or any of their older games, as I have yet to play them. I just got the Mac Action Sack and haven't yet made available some quality time to experience the games.
That aside, though, I don't think Bungie should revisit its older titles. While it might be relatively easy to put a fresh coat of paint and polish on a game like Marathon, that doesn't mean it should be done.
The creative minds at Bungie can do better than a rehashing of an old game, and the "old" game is still out there, free if you know which forum thread to look in (it's still a sticky as of this writing), or for a measly $10 as long as the Bungie Store has them (and that's the better deal in my opinion: You're getting six games for less than the price of one, and you're giving Bungie ten more bucks for the pizza party following World
Domination).
I'd rather see Bungie concentrate on making a game that will make everyone (who has their minds blown playing Halo 2) shiver and cry with joy at their next amazing storytelling acheivement.
So my vote is a firm "no."
1) I thought it was funny, and 2) I have already downloaded it, I just can't get the music to work, and am not good at all with the controls (yes, I treid customizing them). I still just think it would be cool if this were released for the X-Box with somewhat improved graphics. Apparently not everyone enjoys revisiting the past as much as I do.
