Hey all. I'm having a problem with my dedicated server. I have downloaded the Halo Dedicated Server 1.02 and have upgraded it to 1.07. I start Halo, with the dedi still running. It shows up on the list, and I can join it (sometimes), but no one else can. I've tested this through Xfire. It always says, "Negiotiating connection to server," or "Retrying server." I have Norton Firewall, but I have it set to accept activity from Halo and Halo Dedicated Server 1.07. I use a router (Linksys, wireless, Model No. WRT54G, v3.1), but the internet connection goes to my computer before going into the router. Even still, I opened ports 2302 and 2303 to be sure. No luck. I've tried everything I can think of, so any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

lmao i have a similar problem but, have you tried running halo just with your firewall off, then if that doesnt work, try with just your cable modem no router, if that doesnt work try both off, if that doesnt work hope someone else has a fix for you

So I don't need to change the 2302 and 2303 ports, do I? Someone said to change one of them to 2301, but it didnt seem to work... What's so weird is that the other night it was working, so I left my computer on, the dedi still running, and in the morning, it didn't work anymore. I didn't change ANYTHING, all I did was start halo. What is this all about??

Ok, I think I've got it. I had disabled Norton, but temporarily (doh). so for a little while it worked, but Norton came back on (firewall). I think logging off of Norton will fix the problem. I'm not sure yet what programs need to be accepted.
