In the new Xbox magazine there's an artical displaying vehicle damage to the warthog and ghost. My question is = What happens if lets say blue team destroys all the warthogs on the MAP in the 1st few minutes ??? If the game is to 50 kills , then they wont have the vehicles for the rest of the match ? In halo 1 the vehicles were indestructible . Vehicle damage is cool but will the team have the ability to fix the vehicle or something , or is the vehicle still drivable but with lots a damage ? Please advise

well they respawn in the PC version when left too long.

They may just use Damage for campaign, and not MP.

It would be more realistic if they didn't respawn, but it would be very fun....Unless there are hundreds of vehicles!!!!

Well the Spartans respawing isn't very realistic either, but do you want to play with only one life every game. It should be customizable option just like how many lives the players get.

I wonder if u can shot the enemy Warthog and give it a flat? Like say I'm playing online and I have like a Battle Rifle and some guy is going 2 run me down can I shot the tire and he spins out of control? And can Master Cheif like dive if some1 is trying 2 run him down like the Elites?

In one of the updates it says that one of the weakspots of the hog will be the tires, except those that use tracks. Once in a multiplayer game, a warthog respawned and landed on top of me......hehe.

In the new OXM it briefly mention ducking and rolling while fighting a tank, before you board it for your own.

I think it would be cool if respawn only happened if the team's vehicle was completely destoryed (and the respwan time finished much like weapons) and the respawn happened via a drop ship. How cool would that look! :)

I'd imagine they'll institute a respawn for multiplayer, so that vehicles that are left idle for a set period of time or are too far damaged will be replaced by a new and healthy vehicle of the same model, at its spawn point.

I love that about Halo PC. It makes the vehicles more useful for transportation (imagine that!) and less useful for blocking teleporters. Now that they can be destroyed its just better all around.

Yeah, but it really sucks when you try to use a vehicle for cover, and then the son of a -blam!- decides to respawn on you! It's quite funny when it happens to the enemy, though. haha..

It depends on how they respawn, if they are dropped off by the appropriate dropship it would be good (I'd think)...

I hope they at least put an option to have destroyable vehicles in multiplayer, with a unique tool (portable Engineer maybe? lol) to fix them if it gets a flat or damage...

My take on it is that one will be able to decide if the multi player games are played with destroyable vehicles or not.

I'dd imagine that they also allow you to choose the amount and variability of vehicles...

As to respawning, I hate the concept. Of course if vehicles blow up, get too damaged we should get a new one (air lifted of course). But I think that any bits of realism should be kept. I liked the fact that one had to run to the other side of Blood Gultch because a smarty pants had put all the ghosts, warthogs and tanks around one base. Now that one can sprint, I think that it would be even nicer.

Also, it would look mad crazy insane to have the carcass of many vehicles lying about. Could be used for cover, hiding and general MP nonsense...

So, no respawn, Pelicans, and eh... Just thought of something. Will shooting down a full pelican with a (few) rocket launcher(s) result in 10 - 15 kills at once?

If true, isn't that a little obscene?

Yea so you want dropships to drop respawned warthogs? What next weapons droids for respawning weapons? Or your mum dad waving you good luck when you respawn?

tons of dead vehicles would cause nothing but lag.... They have to disappear sometime so they don't cause it... Also, killing a Pelican/Covenant Dropship in mplayer should be almost impossible to accomplish...

make it require several shots, and the AI has some skills in dodging so it can actually avoid rockets and anti vehicle shoots...

Yep we all had some stupid vehicle's get in our way. Or landing on top of us.

vehicle damage should be required, but when it has been completely obliterayed, it should respawn in like two minutes. It would be cool if the dropships brought them in, but i doubt that that will be included
