Subject: How long does the spam filter block for?

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

24 period?

24 hours?

Anyways is it possible to lessen the filter in private groups?

Yeah, changes for the groups would be good.

The topic limit (7 per 24 hours) doesn't affect groups. The time limit between posts does, and that won't change. And the edits shouldn't count against the limit anymore - that was fixed.

If it took you less than 1 minute to read enough of the thread to get an idea of what the thread is about, think of what you can add to the discussion, and type it out then what you had to say most likely wasn't worth posting. Even when posting in the largely mindless forum of the flood usually I don't trip the spam filter. If you trip the filter then think about what you could add to it. Look over it for errors and look for ways to say it more clearly.

In general thread creating is bad. I wish there was a 2 new topic creations per day limit in the general forum. How many times can you recycle the "OMG Bungie doing anything about cheating". Now that I think about it anyone who tries to create a new thread with OMG, WTF, or LOL in the topic should be permabanned...

LOL

You make alot of sense. In all honesty on the main forums I sense i have become a member of this very nice place, I have made less then 10 threads. Most in the flood when i was bored. I dont know how the same people can keep making threads over and over, when i make them I am afraid no one will reply.

But for posts i make. Most posts dont require me taking 30 seconds to reply. Just read some of the threads, they arnt worthy of a deep and meaning full disscussion. Such examples are most threads in Zanzibar and some threads in the flood only require 1 sentence posts. And most times I dont even notice my errors till afterwards, which is annoying.

Anyways the filiter is doing its job.

They come here; they all come here. How do they find me?

I think that the filter shouldn't affect you when you have two different windows, but I'll deal with it

That doesn't really make a lot of sense. All a spammer would have to do is open about 50 different windows and post repeatedly to cause havoc. Sort of defeats the purpose, eh?

yeah, maybe tehre are other conditions, like if they were on different areas, like one in groups, and one on a public forum, but like I said, the current system could be a whole lot worse.
