Why don't we put a bar just below the Last Posted bar. It would if the User was Online or Offline.

I think it would be a great to have a way to see which members are currently online but I'd imagine it would be the stuff of nightmares to implement on a site of this complexity.

Read about the Forgotten Spartan I Program
Butane: To protect the world from devastation!
sir_brilliant: To unite all people within our nation!
Rainman89: To denounce the evils of truth and love!
sir_brilliant: To extend out reach to the stars above!
SpaceGhostFlyer: Jessie!
Butane: James!
sir_brilliant: Team Rocket blasting off at the speed of light
Butane: Surrender now or prepare to fight
sir_brilliant: Meowth, that's right!

then I would now which mod to PM when I see spam...

I do kind'a miss the old 'Online...' 'Offline...' indicator on the old Bungie.net.

Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).

Although alerting moderators is not really a problem for some of us, it would be useful for others and would be useful really to see everyone who's online and offline. I've said this before when it has been brought up, i am 100% backing this suggestion.

Now i too realise that it would take some time to set-up but certainly a feature to add to the list no?

Why don't you bring it to the attention of Achronos?

He did, it's called "Posting to the website discussion forum."

Not a bad idea, though I imagine it wouldn't be a high priority addition. Still, anything that'd help users get to a moderator quicker works for me.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Well if not for members, it would be nice for the mods. So when spammers attack or bad threads pop up, we will know what mod is on so we can report it.

Like everyone else, I love this idea.

One additional suggestion though would be a tracker to see how long you've been online on Bungie.net. I'm not sure how hard this would be to implement, and I don't know how much server space and bandwidth this would eat up, but I do know that Bungie.net records the last time you logged in, so I hope that this wouldn't be too far off.

This is a good idea. I'm a member of a number of other forum sites (Most are PhpBB sites.) and on a few, they have a symbol, no bigger than a smilie, that represnets your online or offline status. Could be fun to see something like that could show up here. :D

Ack! Please don't put your whole post in italics and bold. It doesn't do a lot for other people besides making their eyes fall out of their sockets. And besides, wouldn't it be pathetic if we weren't allowed to use italics and bold because people were abusing it?

Now that you've taken the time to look at my sig, I actually regret not providing you with something more worthwhile.

It's a good idea, but I doubt we'll see it anywhere in the near future.

Wouldn't work for me, and many other members, because I never actually bother to sign out. For the mods, however, it would be a very good idea. Not high priority, but its something nice.

I never knew there was a Online, Offline Indicator.

On the old site there was. When you went to your chapters(groups) you could see who was on or not.

Wow, I had totally forgotten.

Yeah this is a great idea, and I did bring this up a while back before the spam filter was added. The only problem that I could see with it was that spammers could wait till there were no ninja's on-line then spam when there was nobody to get rig of it, but now with the spam filter in place I see no reason why this shouldn't be a feature of Bungie.net.
