Subject: A question for the moderators...

I was wondering, How long on average do you moderate in a day?

I'm certifiable.

Varies hugely from a few minutes to (*shudder*) hours, driven mainly by how busy the office/social-life is that day.

Lucky there is always a mod on, although some are rarely seen. They should go on more since they were lucky to get the position.

There isnt ALWAYS a mod on.. And the scary part is, it seems other people know when. I have often noticed no mods on while trying to let them know of some outbreak of crap in The Flood or something, its like people plan it.

I'll go with coincidence on that one. There's almost always an outbreak of crap in the Flood anyways.

I meant like a REALLY bad one of entirely off topic shat. Such as:

Look

I can type

But multplied by 30. I see it often, but not in mass quantities.

Or maybe its the fact that when the mods are on, they keep it pinned to an unobvious spectrum and its when there off that it builds up.

we may never know...

You should remember that Moderators are not required to give up their lives, their jobs, or their friends. Just as much time as they can manage. As you have seen from the Anton and Dmbfan, the amount of time varies from day to day.

P.S. Aside from some groups, that is probably the first serious post I have made in a long time. Now I am going to ruin it with some totally random gibberish. Cookoobenney? Cheerynumbelockamun. Darghilhidderfilden! QUAH!

I'm sorry I had to do that. It was just so nice to see you sane for that brief moment.

The picture would have been ruined by some force. Be that divine intervention or an odd outbreak of photo-eating Iguanas. No one will ever be allowed to see Halifax sane.

On topic: I'm thinking that the mods spend time on here when they want or can. It's not like it's a paying job though. Some mods are barely on whilst others spend more time on Bungie.net then they do sleeping.

Oh without doubt fifth. That beautiful remote and a smaller width on the screen, totally dopalicious.

Now how are you going to afford an iMac G5? Those things are pricey aren't they? And with your income, I don't think you can pull it off.

Rather easily. Monthly installments with no interest for H.E students (Higher Education for those that are not down with their abbreviations). And then when Microsoft brings out Virtual PC Vista next year, there's my compatibility with the Xbox 360 all sorted (movies, music, photos). And let's not forget that because I'm ordering it as a student in Higher Education, that I also get £300 off the price when I buy an iPod with it! So basically, I get the new 60GB iPod 5th Generation with Video, for free!

Will you be buying HaloPC for Mac as well? If you do I'm a bit worried that maybe you won't be able to afford a few of the new Xbox 360 titles coming to us in the near future. I think you need to sit back and think about this for a second Jay132, this can put a big hole in your wallet. I mean, hah, an iMac G5, an Xbox 360, and Windows VISTA. A lot of money for a student. Still, I don't think you can pull it off.

If Shiska had an iMac G5 I'm sure he'd be on here more often.

Okay. Firstly yes. Without doubt that Halo CE will grace my Super-Drive at some point.

Secondly, you're almost correct in saying that I indeed will be purchasing an iMac G5, an Xbox 360 (along with one game, Gears of War), Window's Virtual PC for mac-Vista addition, but I'm afraid you failed to mention that I'll be attaining a Gibson Custom Signature .335 Larry Carlton. Now my Student Loan comes to £7000 altogether. Course and Tuition fee's will set me back about £2800. That leaves me with £4200 to blow on a really cool-looking and fast-as-you-like Home PC from Apple (along with a new iPod but that's included in the cost), an Xbox 360 Premium package along with one wired-controller and Gears of War, Windows Virtual PC for mac Vista Edition, and last but not least, my custom Gibson Signature 335 Larry Carlton.

Hope this answers all you wanted to know friend,

- JAY132
