"You know what happens when you leave someone hanging for too long? They fall."

*Click* Psshhhhhhhh

Why, and how to become one. Why would you be one, what privilages do they have?

Forum Ninjas have the following privilages, that members/theme masters do not:

-They may have a custom avatar. (an avatar they or some one they ask creates)
-They must now take the responsibility to "look out" for forums. Making sure that no forum turns into a flame session, a spam pool, etc.
-Their typed words are now white, showing they are a moderator
-They may lock or pin forums
-They may temporarily backlist any one lower in bungie.net "rank" then them
-Their title changes from member to forum nina (obviously)
-They may summit news to the homepage, that will later be accepted or declined

Master Forum Ninjas have the following privilages, that members/theme masters/forum ninjas do not have:

-All of the forum ninja privilages
-They may use permenant backlisting
-They may summit news directly to the front page
-They may delete forums
-Their title changes to master forum ninja (obviously)

~Some may not be posted~

As for becoming one, I am hoping a ninja themselves will post that. I have no idea, because I am not one. Now that your head is filled with more knowledge, you may post your opinion or go to another forum.

You must eat the path. You cannot ask to be one.

And that list is wrong in a few places.

Forum Ninjas have the following privilages: I took out the extra bit, Theme masters get avatars.

-They may have a custom avatar.
-This isn't a privalege, its their responsibility[/n]
-Their typed words are now white, showing they are a moderator
-They may lock or pin forums [b]Or delete

-They may temporarily backlist any one lower in bungie.net "rank" then them
-Their title changes from member to forum ninja (obviously)
-Everyone can submit news. Everyone.

Master Forum Ninjas have the following privilages:

-All of the forum ninja privilages
-They may use permenant backlisting [Not all of them, only a few
-Once again, everyone can. And You already said they had normal Forum Ninja Powers.
- So can Normal ninja's.
-Their title changes to master forum ninja (obviously)

To become a forum ninja you must train, you must train with the great Tongzi Kamitanto... You must then go into seclusion in the woods until you have a sacred vision... Your sacred vision must then be interpreted... If your guardian spirit emerges and speaks to your interpreter then you shall be accepted, if he does not emerge then you will be tied to a pole and stoned to death... You must then go to an acceptance ceremony wearing ceremonial dress and paint, during the ceremony you will be required to drink the mysterious punch... Following this you will be inducted into their covert society and sworn to secrecy lest they have to kill you because you are spilling information....

Yes. You sticky threads, not forums.

And you posted something with false information. Expect it to get corrected, and don't take it so personally.

And not to sound rude, but why make this thread?

Indeed. And also, I just wanted to say good job. I often sound unsupportive because I am naturally a very critical person. Forgive me if I come across as arrogant. But great job.

Funny, because he is always talking on topic, unlike you right now. I suggest if you don't like it, stop reading.

Now that you've taken the time to look at my sig, I actually regret not providing you with something more worthwhile.

As far as becoming one goes, this is how I think the process goes:
-Never ask to be made a moderator
-You must be an outstanding member of the communitty. One that is well known and well liked by the moderators.
-When it comes time to appoint new mods, The current mods post their suggestions in HFCS.
-The members of HFCS vote on who they believe should be made moderators.

Disclaimer: This is my theory on how it works, based on the small amount of info I have seen posted about this subject by some of the moderators after the new group of mods were selected. It may be completely wrong.

Are forum ninjas able to blacklist for less than seven days, or are they limited to the rather generic "unleash ninjas" button?

Edit: Just thought of this, but can Master forum ninjas post images on the forums?

Thats not how it works at all!

The Path to Ninjaness
The path to ninjaness begins with a phone call. A gruff voice speaks, sounding vaguely simian. The voice tells you to go to the nearest airport. Tickets are waiting.

You arrive at the airport. Massive jumbo jets surround you. Luxury executive aeroplanes await. You look at your ticket, and look around until you can find it. Terminal 7. You look on in disbelief. A chair with pedals and a helicopter blade.

Eventually, you reach your destination: Hawaii. Great, you think. Then you bump it all goes black.

Later, you wake up in a cell. Naked. Wails surround you. Your heart pounds. The rest of the experience is one long blur...

After what seems like years, you wake up. Chained to your computer. Your browser only accessing bungie.net. Congratulations, your life as forum ninja has begun...

The HFCS is there for the Ninjas to get drunk and bare-knuckle box a hippo while wearing a banana suite...a purple banana suite.

Forum Ninja can only blacklist for one week. Master forum Ninja can use the same "unleash ninja" button to blacklist someone for a week regular forum ninja have, or we can set a specific amount of time, from 1 second to eternity, for a blacklisting.

Edit: Just thought of this, but can Master forum ninjas post images on the forums?

I believe that's a feature limited to Achronos, Sketch and Frankie.

Do all Bungie employees have more privileges than regular members? I mean, I know I've seen Sawnose and other Bungie web guys (like Ninja 0n Fire) with their own text colours and stuff, but if say, Joe Staten or Nathan Walpole came onto Bungie.net forums, would they have their own text colours or privileges too?

No not really. You could say tinman, but he has an avatar. A better example would be Marty the Elder, but even still, he has a special title. Really, I don't think there are any employees that don't have something special. But of course, if there are, we wouldn't know about it now would we?
