I do not fear death, in view of the fact that I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it. ~ Mark Twain

So epic.

How? That level is SOOO BIG.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Under Cover of Night on the Truth and Reconciliation was so atmospheric, a truly divine composition.

That's why I loved it, so many vehicles, the wide open space and all the firefights, and one of my favorite parts of the CE story

Silent Cartographer and Assault on The Control room.

Memories.

Here to end the borrowed time you've all been living on.

Agree. They needed to come back in Reach. I was playing CE camapign today and it was epic.

They came back in Halo 3, I'd of thought it overuse if they recycled it again

Yes they did come back in Halo 3 but with minor changes (of course) but that's why the CE OST remains so epic, they're perfect exactly the way they are

The Halo series wouldn't be half of what it is without the music.

Halo CE will forever, and ever, be the most epic Halo game EVER.

Your mother is a very handsome man.

I liked the Halo 2 OST better.

This and silent cartographer was my favorite on splitscreen we could be driving warthogs around and in the water for hours.

Yep. CE was better in every way. We all know it.

This, but CE was still phenomonal.

I wanted an Under Cover of Night redux for Nightfall in Reach. Damnit, Marty. :(

Then again, there wasn't really a moment that felt that beautiful, alien, relaxed and tranquil in Nightfall. The percussion also made movement feel a necessity, albeit at a relaxed pace, something which the Waterfront section of Nightfall, even with its deeply dark, rich pallet and large number of friendly AI units, lacked.

and what gun doesn't tear though flesh? a squirt gun?

Forklifts don’t die. They’re just missing in action.

Pooping isn't something I enjoy, nor is it something that takes time. I get in there, drop the packages, then get out. I'm like UPS. What can brown do for you?

yes yes they are

I don't know about all you guys, but I also loved the level 343 Guilty Spark, where you're in the underground structure and you first encounter the flood. Sooooo creepy back then

Under Cover of Night and Covenant Dance are the best IMO.

None of them beat Neon Night from ODST though.

Contraversially (within the Halo community), I'm not actually a big fan of the ODST soundtrack: it was very binary, largely consisting of either percussive pieces for daytime flashback sequences, or jazz for nocturnal exploration. Don't get me wrong, pieces like The Menagerie (from Uplift Reserve, and yet it plays in Reach when Buck shows up) and others are great, but it's very either percussive or jazzy. With the exceptions of Skyline, almost a slowed-down Reclaimer, and that was -blam!- epic, and Prepare to Drop, the iconic announcement trailer piece.
