ANYBODY can pull the trigger, but when it comes down to a pistol vs pistob battle, the better player wins...why? because he can maneuver away from the bullets in a good pattern

Any pros out there have any tips for the new beginngers when in a pistol vs pistol battle?

Don't hold the trigger, tap it

Don't try to sidestep too much, because eventually you're just standing in one spot

I don't know what else; this is just stuff that I use when fighting with a pistol

Yes tapping the trigger gives more accuracy, the same is true for automatic weapon including the Assault Rifle that you thought suked balls.

You want advise in pistol battles? Seems more like you want close range advise. Well here is my advise to you.

1. Don't get at close range without an MA5B or M90. They will save you at really close range.

2. Don't get at close range period.

3. Don't stop moving. Standing still gets you killed.

4. Be maneuverable and unpredictable. Duck, jump, run forward, change side step directions. These things will save you immensly.

5. Learn to shoot on the fly. Being able to shoot while running and doding will be of great advantage to you.

6. Grenades. I cal them the coward's weapon when used to damn much, but they can help every now and then. When engaged in a constant circling type movement drop a grenade at your feet and keep moving. They will strafe into it and BOOM!.

7. Get your reaction speed way up. Start playing at 10 senstivity on Legendary for a while. Eventually you will get way up there in the ability to control your character much better at higher speeds. And when you go into multiplayer games lower it to 7. That way you don't turn faster than your gun can shoot.

Well those are my 7 tips for your gameplay.

actually, the first two can be anywhere. It'll do the same ammount of damage if you hit a fully shielded Spartan in the head as if you shot him in the foot. The last shot is the only one that needs to be a headshot to do a 3 shot kill with the pistol.

dont try the headshot you'll waste alot of bullets trying to hit the head. strafe and jump and try to throw grenades to where they are going

Only if you are inaccurate. When you get good at aiming you should always be aiming at the head 3 shots (if the last is on the head) vs 5 torso (6 below the knee) is a two bullet difference which is an immense amount of time in battle.

As for jumping. Jumping is generaly a terrible idea unless avoiding explosives or in other rare occasions. Once you jump your movement is pretty set and snipers or pistolers will know exactly where to aim. Ducking is only good when you know you are fighting someone who always shoots for the head.

Don't zoom, theres no point, they glow anyway if you hit them the first time so don't bother with zooming. try to practice in multiplayer by using the pistol a lot more, in place of some other fav weapon.

Jumping a very bad idea unless you are dodgin something (NOT bullets). You have no maneuverablity in the air and it makes headshots a lot easier, trust me. The best thing to do is strafe and use cover.

First off who holds the R trigger down? Never hold it down always tap it. And someone said never go close range. Dont listen to him, 3 shots of a pistol are faster then the AR killing you. And the pistol is good close range agaisnt anything but shotguns, and rockets. But somtimes if the other player is good enough the plasma rifle might get you frustrated, becuase you'll move slow so then you would want to pull out the AR or Shotgun. And really, focus on everything. Dont just look for the people, keep your eyes wide open. Also if its dark and your oppenent is hidding look for bullet shots hitting the ground and for the flash of there guns. And practice going after the head. Dont try to make him dance. And well play your best and however you want, all you need is aim.
