Okay, I wasn't really sure where to put this, so I put it here. Anyways as you all know the fight the flood was a huge success. But recently there was an earthquake in Pakistan that killed many more people than both hurricanes combined. I just wanted to pass the idea along to bungie, that if it would be possible for them to do a similar relieff fund for the earthquake in Pakistan. I know this community would contribute. Well just letting people know my idea, and hopefully Shishka or someone will pass this along to bungie.

I think that because Katrina was directly related to America that is why it received special attention in a proper world both disasters would have received the same attention but the saying out of sight out of mind is actually very true.

I have already donated to the Pakistan relief effort anyone who also feels the need to help a country in a far worse shape than America should donate aswell.

Bungie simply can not start one of these events for every disaster that will ever happen, it's just not possible no matter how much they may wish too.

The best thing for you to do is donate, as Keyser said, by other means.

I'm from Pakistan and the destruction there is just enormous. Over 40K people dead and over 1K infants missing. I think what we (Pakistani's) need the most is food and supply more then we need money. We DO NOT need money as much as we need food, cascades, blankets, tents, water and common stuff like that. The area that the earthquake effected was towards the north. The conditions in that area has severely worsen since the earthquake, it is now raining, and in some parts snowing there. They dont have anywhere to go since their homes have been totally leveled so what they do is sleep outside. So if you want to donate, donate those items instead of money. Just because Bungie doesn't do anything about it, doesn't mean you dont do anything, step up and do your part if you can.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

What happend in Pakistan was horable and my school is rasing money to send for them.

But I dont think bungie would be has inclined to help Pakistan has much has they did New Orleans. Hurrican Katrina was an american disaster, bungie lives in america. Im assuming a majority of Bungie fans are american. The Hurricanes hit close to home.

I dont want to sound mean, but bungie cant stop to help everyone.

Also Bungie isnt the only one who can help. There are tons of organizations rasing money for pakistan. Red Cross for example.

Yeah, Eagle you need to edit your post buddy. Bungie shouldn't, they helped enough I would say. Well on the donation part we actually dont have enough people helping, Countries have pledged to give us money to help with the relief but only 10% showed up. I would say to just donate what you can. Bungie cant simply be there for every natural disaster the World has.

p.s: EAGLES5, I didnt mean to sound rude there. I just had trouble reading your post.

I know bungie can't stop what they're doing to help with every single natural disaster. They are a video game company, not the red cross. But all I'm saying is that more people need to donate to the earthquake. Because in comparison it was a deadlier tragedy than the hurricanes.

It does have a bigger death toll, but Katrina devastation was in America, thats why they had the donation. Just do your part and everything will be fine.

Basically the reason there wouldnt be a fund for this earthquake is because most people dont give a damn about people that dont live in there country.

I hope everyone feels the need to donate, $5 in Pakistan goes allot further than it does in America so even if you think you’re not donating much you are! So get donating!

As an answer to the person who posted that people don't care about people in other countries look how many countries and people in those countries helped with the aftermath of Katrina and offered aid. There are lots of people in the world who feel an affinity with other people in they're times of need even if they are a different colour, nationality or religion.

Yeah I was over in Sri Lanka last year. I took leave back in the states right when the Tsunamii hit. I cam back and the coast line was a mess. However I was able to see the aid efforts first hand. Let me assure you that they are not being ignored over there.

I've been around these parts for almost eight years now...wow! Maybe I should be concerned about that...

I think it would be an awesome idea, but as someone said, out of sight out of mind applies here I think. They may ask you to donate, but they probably won't do a big thing like fight the flood again, until something really bad happens again.

Stop spamming dude. They are somewhat being ignored, not so much now but in the beggining when they needed the most help they actually were being "ignored" but not soo much now.
