before you read this, i want you all to know that i am strictly a console gamer, but this would be an exception.

okay, who cannot say that they had a blast screwing around through halo 3's campaign and multiplayer with friends??? halo 3 is now out of date thanks to bungie's newest game, Reach. Reach has a far superior campaign (almost as good as halo 2's was in my opinion). halo 3 had a multiplayer experience that provided the game to stay alive (as in: glory days) for about 3 years and like halo 2, flushed down the toilet as soon as the next halo game came along, occurring with my beloved halo 3 currently.

Last night, my friends and i were talking about this and thought: wouldn't it be amazing if we could've created our OWN campaign/multiplayer maps??? if we could inject our own models, shaders(skins), sounds...etc. for the realtime map editor, a combination between Far Cry 2/Crisis' sandbox editors. for campaign maps, triggers (loading objects,"x happens when y occurs" sort of thing)could be simplified for your average user by using a method such an "advanced" option with volumes with 'cause and effect' boxes

examples of what what we imagined for maps would be the crazy maps your friends probably told you about on halo custom edition, or the insane maps users have made on just about any game with a sandbox editor. For campaign, people will be insanely creative such as the Portal: Prelude hit.

here's a youtube video of bungie's test maps they released at their panel before reach came out: youtube.com/watch?v=1aOb6Nn8egA# -video courteously recorded by cmnier- now imagine playing on your own campaign experience!

My Youtube - Halo 2 Online Co-op
BUNGIE AND MICROSOFT FAILS HALO 2 VISTA.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Don't worry, Microsoft plans to bring more Halo to the PC gaming platform to promote their Games For Windows - Live Service.

because, the amount of content would kill Halo: Reach? I guess so, halomaps.org has done a good job of hosting content for Halo 1 PC+Custom Edition.

I think Halo Wars needs to be on PC before Halo 3. That game was designed for a PC environment, they just slipshod it into a console because of some microsoft moron. (Yes, I know it was built as a console game but RTS do NOT work on consoles, they're a PC exclusive gamestyle).

As a PC gamer, I second this idea, if for no other reason then to get Halo 3 to PC, I will never again waste my money on console. With the technology of today, I do not buy the excuse that the graphics are better on console's, they maybe for a year but most PC gamers upgrade or replace their computers ever 3-4 years allowing them to play a game that is too advance on its lowest settings.

Then once the computer is replaced or updated, up the graphics, Either way, I can do 100% more with 1000 investment into a computer (like make real money on 3d models) then I can with a console.

So as I am losing intrest in the entire Halo concept because of the massive gap between games being released for PC, every year new halo games do not come out for the PC, brings me that much closer to simply losing interest in the series of games.
