And you have proof of this no skill?
anything to disprove it?
You're right. I myself enjoy each game's multiplayer equally due to the fact that it supplies such entertainment to myself and friends. Each game has its ups and downs. Please do not think that I am bashing Halo 2, because I like it nearly as much as the next guy...
I found that the team with the more powerful weapons in Halo 2 usually kinda mowed down the other team with a relative ease. Rockets? Swords? Shotgun?
Don't get me wrong, those weapons were sorta as powerful in Halo 1. Rockets were, but it required perfect timing and aim. Lock-ons were only a myth to the Halo Universe those days. Shotgun? It was basically useless at further-mid-range firefights. And even a burst to the guy's torso at point blank didn't kill him. It had to be to the head.
Now, with a Camo, and a Shotgun, the psycho goes further, if you know what I mean.
They both had excellent multiplayer, but I myself just found Halo 1's firefights on Blood Gulch more entertaining, if not more exciting than fights on Zanzibar. Because usually, people both have snipers on both sides. The other person wouldn't reveal their hiding place, like in World War 2. So, I found that most people usually joined in the massive battles in the midfield. Just having huge AR battles, hucking off Frag grenades, running out of ammo at the worst moment possible, having to resort to your side-arm... Then when things get a little too heated, the look on the enemy's face when your team just plows into their forces with a 600 ton steel death machine... Namely, the Warthog. It was beautiful.
Don't get me wrong again, but to me, whenever I took a step inside those beautiful canyon walls, the world slowed down to a halt. Nobody really cared about much. Who was a n--b, or who wasn't. All that mattered was running through that all too familiar surroundings, guns ablazing. Nobody was really too comptetive. Share a few laughs or two. Nobody screeched in each other's faces when they killed a less competitive player.
Those were the good old days. Of course, there were those few who were Halo-crazy and spazed each time they didn't get to drive. But, it was memorable. In Zanzibar, I didn't engage in so many ground battles. Seperate killings were going around on the map. Unlike in Blood Gulch, where everyone felt that it was their duty to get involved. Stick up and fight. Sacrifice yourself for your proud Red/Blue Armies... There are usually people sniping all over the place in Zanzibar, the odd two or four engaging in a short firefight, usually someone winning with a Shotgun, or sword...
Ultimately, Halo 2's multiplayer is fun. But it's not collosal for me. Halo 1 was just grand. I'd gladly shoulder an AR and slide an M6D into my holster over a Battle Rifle and SMG anyday.
