I knew there was something addictive about this game when I first played it on my freshly opened box 3 years ago. It got better and better the more I played it, and I must have spent 200 hours playing campaign and co-op (no exaggeration), without it getting boring. Then I heard about xbconnect from a friend and was obsessed with that, playing everyday after school, avoiding homework. Now that I have become a fanatic I took to the forums, with nowhere else to go, already having my fill of watching and making halo videos.
But I STILL haven't found out what it is that makes this such a good game, I mean yeah it has the graphics and the weapons and the blood and the plot, but there is something deeper. I don't know what it is but can tell you one thing, I think it has something to do with the other games bungie developed, they were working on the "deep" myst games, and I think that the techniques they used to make that game showed through a little in halo. What do you think is that [i] magical [i] ingredient that so many FPS game developers are missing?
