I'm wondering what everybody's favorite gametype(s) are.
Me and my friends have (finally) started having weekly Halo 1, and only 1, LANs. 3 years too late, but better late than never.

Anyhoo, I'd like to have some quality suggestions for gametypes. We usually have 10-14, hopefully we can get a maxed out 8 on 8 game sometime.

A couple good one's I've come up with are:
Rev Tag 4X - Teams, 4 people can be it, 15 minutes to win. Normal weapons, radar.
2 Balls Team - Team Oddball with 2 balls, no radar, 10 minutes to win.

Please share.

there is a gametype called reverse tag in halo1. i make it a team game and have 2v2 or more. basically oddball, but you can shoot with the ball. very fun.

We have been hosting lan parties for H1 for over a year, and trust me, flag games never get old. To have the sickest games, make sure the teams are perfectly matched, 4 good players can take on 6 decent players in a flag, but the team that has fewer people will win if you are playing a slayer (in most cases)

Slayer games are good, especially 255. Another huge factor is the level. It's useless to play on the larger levels like Blood Gulch if you only have 8 people. Damnation is a perfect level for any number of people (2-16). Chill Out, Hang em High, Battle Creek, Longest, Prisoner and Wizard are also good levels.

Hill is a good one especially if you throw things in to keep it random and interesting. A game that we played recently that was rather interesting was non-moving hill on Longest, snipers only. It turned the hill into a wind tunnel of doom with all the sniper round going by.

Also make sure that you turn off radar, it is -blam!- as well as pointless.

If you can trust the other players to obey the restrictions you can play melee only on wizard, plasma weapons (make sure they know not to shoot or throw grenades)

Thats all I can think of for right now. Write back if this helps and maybe I can come up with some more stuff.

A good game Me and my friends like to play is this:

Name: Fight Club

Rules: No grenade usage, No weapon usage, Can only Melee

Sounds dumb but is one of the best games to play!
